Poirier out indefinitely after suffering a skate laceration last game that required surgery.

The blows just keep coming..

What a brutal start to the year.
Explains why I never heard his name, must've happened early in the game.

The surgery part is scary, it makes me think Achilles

Edit: the laceration was on his arm apparently.

Wranglers after losing Poirier to surgery yesterday, have lost Solovyov to recall today.

I wish him well, but this means the Wranglers will need to call up someone else from the ECHL, or sign someone. They recalled Gourley after the Poirier injury was announced.

Zary really seems to have taken the next step.
He's looked really good so far and it's not like he's playing with studs, as he's been playing with Pospisil and Schwindt.

I have to admit, I forgot today was a game day, I'm gonna have to watch from the start.

Wranglers win 2-1 in OT. Aspirot with the game winner. Zary and Pospisil with the helpers.

I kinda feel bad for this Cuda's goalie... having the last name Chrona in 2023 can't be easy

Ugh, 5-on-3 for a full 2 minutes

Solo is a f***ing stud. He and Poolman killed most of the penalty, Bishop was good on the PK too

1-0 after 40

Lots of changes in the lineup, what were the lines like today?

Kerins finally got a shot, did he look OK at least?

Can we please call up Wolf for the odd start. This is mismanagement on an epic scale.

And while Markstrom has played well he still has flaws in his lateral movement. For me, Wolf makes saves look routine where other goalies, like Markstrom, need to make a spectacular save. This is due to the difference in skating, positioning and edge work.

The West
Surprised but not surprised Coronato was sent down for a stint. I don't like how this can play with a players big league confidence, hopefully he continues the right approach and makes it back up soon. In fairness his play has really tailed off since the first two or three games with the Flames.

Wranglers suffered their first regulation loss, 4-1 to San Jose.

Wolf stopped 14 of 17, McLain had the only goal.
I haven't watched yet to comment on the quality of GA

2-0 Wranglers... Schwindt stopped on a SH breakaway, but regained possession and made a good pass to Jones for the shortie

3-0. Jones with his second. He started the play with a shit from the right circle, then there was a scramble in the crease, it came out to left side where Jones had moves after his shot and he buried it.
