Coronato did get back on the ice eventually, but sounds like that period was all Eagles.
Dansk putting on a good game so far, good to see.

Dansk was phenomenal, nice to see him bounce back. It wasn't that long ago his numbers were better than Wolf's

Day-to-day with injury
Ah, thought so. Got to be that shoulder. Hopefully just bruised.

Coronato needs to take advantage of it and deliver in Zary's absence. The right call-up, well there is no one in the A who can play up front...

The Wranglers need to get their shit together. They are falling fast in the Pacific and are now out of a playoff position. In December they were the best team in the league and more than 10 games over .500. Since then they've played under .500, their special teams is garbage as well.

They are not out of the playoffs yet. 7 teams make it from the Pacific.
Looks like yesterday was a case of running into a hot goalie

Wranglers drop both b2b games at home to the Ontario Reign. Neither Wolf or Dansk was particularly good in their starts. The blueline is a mess, the only pairing even nearing defensive competency is Kuznetsov-Grushnikov and they weren't very good tonight. Poirier was awful, just a turnover machine. Forwards weren't much better, Klapka was our best skater with 2G. His line with Schwindt and Stromgren was definitely the most effective.

Damiani has some nice wheels, gets inside on guys and battles but didn't see much skill flash in those two viewings. Looked like a pretty typical AAAA player, just not any one thing that really stands out and a bit on the smaller side.

Wranglers take a 2-1 shootout win on the road against Colorado
Defense played well. Forwards were alright, didn't generate a ton but got through the NZ well.

Wish I could find a video but Poirier pulled off one of the cockier shootout goals I've seen. Stromgren then walked it off with a nice move and a cold ass celly

Thinking about it, im surprised zary wasnt part of the paper transaction so he can play in the playoffs. Ik hes played a ton this year and probably wouldnt play anyway, but its good to just have the option

He was on IR, can't send down an injured player.

How did Poirier get a 10 min major?
There is no such thing as a 10 minute major. Poirier tripped someone, then mouthed off to the official and got a 10-minute misconduct... at least I assume he was mouthing off because on AHLtv you don't always get things between whistles.

Wranglers take a 2-1 W over the baby Oilers. Pretty ugly game. Lots of penalties and icings with very little flow.

Aspirot played wing for some reason and scored on a hilarious penalty shot.

New guy Morton looked good, might have been our best skater. Got his 1st professional point on the GWG by McLain. Won some faceoffs, looked solid on both the PP and PK. Was noticeable in his pro debut playing with Pelletier and Jones who were both good as well. Dansk made some big saves in the 3rd but was otherwise not terribly busy.

I forgot they played tonight, had my nose in MLB the Show 24 all day. I'm gonna have to watch it though, I'd like to get my eyes on Morton.

As for Aspirot, the Wranglers D is finally healthy and there is just not enough roster spots for them all... they have 10 healthy bodies now, and 9 could play a regular shift. Up front they only have 15 forwards on the roster and of active players he's 4th in scoring and honestly not great defensively. Gallant and Wedman aren't going to help the team offensively, neither are Ciona and Nikolaev... so why not try Aspirot on the wing.

Aspirot has been one of the most underrated Wranglers this year, he's done it all. Plays big minutes, PP/PK...I said before, I hope we can offer him another contract next year.
Stromgren has really picked it up too

Good to hear the new guy (Morton) looked good. Getting this recent help and keeping the ECHLers in the league they should be in should hopefully keep us in a playoff spot. Another big game (rematch) for them tonight.

@Bounces R Way: did Morton play RW?
