Ottawa Sens should watch the Belleville Sens for their commitment to defense, their two way team play and their battle level to win hockey games
Yesterday BSens gave up 16 shots, today 20, total 36 shots in 2 games, ASens give up 46 shots in one game yesterday.Ottawa Sens should watch the Belleville Sens for their commitment to defense, their two way team play and their battle level to win hockey games
He has never been more than an ECHL tweener, when healthy he's likely a pressbox guy who shuffles back and fourth from the ECHL to the AHL depending on injuriesWhat happened to Tarun Fizer? I loved his performance in preseason tourney but he seems to have disappeared from BSens?!
Well, Manitoba, Toronto and Laval are not good teams, and all 6 wins came against those three teams, so grain of salt I suppose.I am not looking to start any shit here but haven't the Bsens and Ottawa been playing the same system for the past 4-5 years, and this winning streak suddenly coincides with DJ Smith getting fired?
BSens coaches finally allowed to implement their own changes and systems?
I'm puzzled. Fizer was sniping from outside the dots & skating circles around most other AHLers Jarventie, Soko etc..in preseason. Player of the game. Won a spot on BSens..then..cricketsHe has never been more than an ECHL tweener, when healthy he's likely a pressbox guy who shuffles back and fourth from the ECHL to the AHL depending on injuries

7-Oh lets go!!!Roster Notes:
Two significant additions are returning from NHL stints in Ottawa tonight, with forwards Jiri Smejkal and Angus Crookshank slotting back into the lineup. In corresponding moves, the Sens released forward Jarid Lukosevicius from his professional tryout and assigned forward Tarun Fizer to their ECHL affiliate, the Allen Americans. Full lineup details including tonight’s alignment will be released before puck drop.
Who to Watch:
Senators forward Brennan Saulnier returned from an extended injury absence on Sunday in Winnipeg and made his presence felt, scoring a goal. The 30-year-old from Halifax, Nova Scotia will play in his 100th American Hockey League game tonight. In terms of offence, Roby Jarventie had an assist on Sunday and has picked up a point in 14 of his last 17 games. He leads the Senators in points per game percentage at .95.
Rookie sniper Nikita Chibrikov has enjoyed the season series against Belleville, scoring twice in three games. He sits 7th in AHL scoring, along with teammate Brad Lambert, who has two assists against the Sens this season. Chaz Lucius also has a pair of helpers against Belleville, but didn’t play in either game this past weekend.
Follow the action:
Today’s game starts at 7:00 p.m. (ET) and can be seen on AHL TV and heard on the Belleville Sens Entertainment Network.
