Celebrini will be his own comp in couple of years.
I wouldn’t say Ferraro isn’t an NHLer especially if you are saying Rutta is a solid 6.Absolutely, there is some influence of quality of competition. But not nearly enough to account for the insane discrepancy in results.
44% for Walman and Ceci in tough minutes is somewhat respectable, given that both of those guys are being forced to play over their abilities as top pairing defensemen. As a second pair, I think they would be perfectly adequate.
Realistically, I think Walman and Liljegren are quality middle pairing guys, Ceci is a good #5, Rutta is a solid #6, Thrun a decent #7, and Ferraro not an NHLer.
I think Rutta is better than Ferraro.I wouldn’t say Ferraro isn’t an NHLer especially if you are saying Rutta is a solid 6.
If nothing else, I think Rutta understands his role better.I think Rutta is better than Ferraro.
The Walman-Ceci tough minutes number is respectable to me because Walman has still been able to produce at a career high level even with it. If Ferraro is getting the best results with Liljegren, I suppose that's fine but it feels like we're then making it unnecessarily more difficult to get the most out of Liljegren.Absolutely, there is some influence of quality of competition. But not nearly enough to account for the insane discrepancy in results.

That's exactly why I think that. Rutta knows he's a bottom pairing stay at home guy. Ferraro thinks he's great and therefore constantly attempts to do things he can't, which makes everything worse. If nothing else, I think Rutta understands his role better.

Dumbing things down and making everything you do be basic would be better then hail mailing a pass straight up the center of the ice trying to make things happenDoes he?
Might ne because he tries to do too much because there wasn't much more, coming from other the defenders the Sharks have iced, over the last few seasons.

This is what I said before - forget the comparisons, people will be comparing future prospects to him in no time!Celebrini will be his own comp in couple of years.
Amazingly every D he has been paired with this season plays better away from him.Does he?

Warso says..Amazingly every D he has been paired with this season plays better away from him.
We need to stop making excuses for Ferraro and realise he is the problem.
Could work, but the Sharks are about .500 with Macklin in the lineup. They may finish out of the bottom 10.If they get Schaefer this year, they're ready to go imo. Walman and Liljegren should still be here in 3 years, Dickinson and Schaefer will have made the NHL and then some combo of Mukh/Cagnoni/Pohlkamp/Thrun/Thompson may fill out the bottom. Don't think it's a particularly crazy projection.
Schaefer-Walman
Dickinson-Liljegren
Mukh-Cagnoni
Thrun/Thompson
To look at it in more of a half glass full kind of way though, our best (maybe 2nd best player) in all of these games...that we have been close enough in to get a point or whatever, is an 18 year old. That goes to show as he improves, and guys like Smith, Askarov, etc. there is alot of room to grow.I think people are getting quite a bit ahead of themselves cause there have been some positive outcomes in a few games recently. Sample size matters, just cause they have had a decent record in the last 10 games doesn't suddenly make them an actual not bottom 10 team. We have been outplayed in most of those 10 games. Only the Detroit game could you say was one where we were genuinely the better team. We got ridiculous goalie bailout performances in the wins against NJ and Columbus. We have racked up quite a bit of loser points already.
Compared to last year, we are way more competitve and not the utter pushovers we were, but we are still clearly the inferior team on the ice in the vast majority of our games. Just cause recent results have resulted in some points for us doesn't mean it will continue. This is still a bottom 5 team and I am sure the end of season rankings will reflect that. Not that that's a negative, the team is clearly trending in the right direction.
I mean at that same time though who cares? Why do you have to shit on the positivity?I think people are getting quite a bit ahead of themselves cause there have been some positive outcomes in a few games recently. Dude you read my mind, I’d be ok with doing a straight up Musty for Brady tradeWith Ottawa potentially trading players, I would like to revisit the fantasy of trading for Brady Tkachuk and playing him on the top line alongside Celebrini.
Why would Ottawa do that?Dude you read my mind, I’d be ok with doing a straight up Musty for Brady trade

Because they are stuck in red wings/buffalo land endless rebuild status, they are going to want a top prospect musty fits that billWhy would Ottawa do that?
The Sens signed Korpisalo to a huge contract they’ll do anythingI'm sure you would but unfortunately the Sens wouldn't.
