Wow, Kunin at center

David Quinn is either a hilarious troll manning a masterful tank job or he is a uniquely incompetent evaluator of NHL talent

Luke Kunin is not just a bad NHL player, he actively makes his linemates worse

I KNOW! Let's let him play CENTER for our most important prospect on the roster!

f***ing genius shit, you dumb asshole

Who else is he supposed to play at center? Couture injured, Granlund injured, Lorentz is gone, Peterson stinks and is really more of a winger. There are no good options here.

Poor Eklund. And why the hell do you move Zadina off of Hertl's line? I still maintain it should be Eklund with the two of them or why not give Zetterlund a chance with them? His speed would be an asset and he does have a good shot.

Our roster just sucks. Who cares how Quinn maneuvers the lines.
Even if we are going to lose most games, I would like to see players--especially our young players who could be part of any future success--be put in the best possible positions to succeed. So far this season I can't say that I've felt that's been the case, no matter the opponents or overall quality of the squad.

Management isn't going to run up the white flag from the get go. I'd say what that do at the trade deadline will determine when we just give the kids a chance. Not say injuries might not force their hand

I just mean that someone like Eklund is good enough already--in all three zones--to be given more impactful minutes. And, with Couture out, I'd like to see those come with Hertl.

And there's absolutely no reason right now to split up Hertl and Zadina. Those two could genuinely be linemates for several years to come; the way Zadina stuck up for Hertl last night was meaningful, I thought. I have to imagine that there's been some good bonding between countrymen happening behind the scenes and it's potentially a really positive partnership that the team has stumbled into.

We should be guaranteed Celebrini for having to actually watch this lineup on for an entire season

No doubt the Sharks need a puck-moving defenseman. Is someone like Jeff Norton available? Someone who can carry the puck into the offensive zone with relative ease while only scoring about 3 goals a year. Great for the tank. Getting the puck into the offensive zone would do wonders to inflate stats getting ready for the trade deadline.

I saw a report that the bluejackets are looking to trade a defenseman. Would someone like Adam Boqvist be a good target for us? He is an offensive defenseman and plays on the right side. He is young too, I am not sure what we would give them in return, something based on Bordeleau for Boqvist?

Yeah, I'm more concerned that Eklund is playing with the two biggest boat anchors in the forward group than the fact that Kunin is playing center...I'd like to see Labanc and Eklund flipped

Boqvist is an established NHL'er but on IR a lot. It will take more to get him. Maybe Bordeleau + NJ2nd + Zetterlund

Absolutely true. Hertl played well with barabonov last year too so it’d make sense to put three of them on a line but David Quinn wanted to get duclair clicking first.

I honestly wouldn’t give up more than Labanc. Boqvist might be one of the worst defensive D in the league.
