Makar has the 2nd most value in the NHL right now after McDavid, but for me and actually for the Avs, he’s more valuable than McDavid because Avs already have a #1 center, without Makar they would not have a #1 D which you really need to win

They'd still.have Toews, Byram (due to bust out) Girard and .Manson . Hrab a Soucy and keep EJ plus Malinski ans OEL maybe

Vancouver would likely add something fairly significant as well

I think Pettersson is super underrated and right on the bubble of top 5C or maybe even the 5th best but Makar is the best defenseman the league has seen in a while. Literally the son of god

I want a 2C more than anyone, but you don’t have to trade Makar to get one. Avs got 3 years of Kadri who helped them win the cup and only gave up Barrie and Kerfoot for him. They can do something like that.

Makar is as untouchable as it gets in the NHL

7 months no sleep chronic gerd with no relief , gasterenterologist appointments and tests to see if I am candidate for surgery. Symptoms changing all the time withbfrog like gurgles coning out of the throat now and globua sensation driving me insane.

Alcoholic on day 4 to see if can improve symptoms as alcohol makes it all go away.

Ativan holding me on and waiting til Monday to see reccommendations from another gastroenterologist who suggested anxiety meds and antispasmodic meds for spasms in the throat which feels liks your being choked and what not and for he last test a ph impedence to see if surgery is a go.and an ultra sound on liver and gallbladder.


The globus thing is enough to do oneself in. Very frustrating.

So long story short tomorrow I drink cause cant stand this, which will.make me feel better for the day but aggravate the gerd all the more.

If you've ever had globus sensation and gurgling out of the throat give suggestions if you can. It's down right intolerable

Ppi's not working anymore so hoping for surgery at this point

It would just be nice to have some moves to be excited about going into next season.. maybe in our off-season thread we can poll HFAvs and ask if we all expect to be excited/optimistic or disappointed about the moves made and then re poll after asking if the moves have us optimistic or disappointed

Offensively, his absence will be a massive benefit to our middle 6 that struggled to score in no small part because of Compher's utterly milquetoast, riskless offensive game.

Erod was just a guy, at the end of the day. I didn't mind him, but he's the definition of a replacement level middle 6er.

That's your ERod replacement and for less money than what ERod was making last season.

Erod would have really helped the 3rd line. He would sometimes overpasses the puck. When you're on the ice with MacKinnon and/or Rantanen, that's not necessarily what you want. Malgin would have been a better complement due to being better at converting chances into scores.

The third line on the other hand was often disjointed and having trouble keeping the puck to create opportunities.

But they need to move on from ERod.

But watch them be ok with running it back with the same cast as last year.

I don't have any problem with Erod or Compher coming back in the right role and at the right price.

It's just extremely unlikely either of them comes at the right price, and at least for Compher, Bednar just could not stop overplaying him offensively.
