I'm with you, Pierce. One of those 1sts needs to go for a winger, but the fact that they could sit on their hands and STILL make two first round selections is hilarious.

Wouldn’t be worth it either. You’d have to move Girard to fit him and the market is a clearly very good for buyers right now. We could easily get a Barbashev type player for less than he’d cost.

Doubtful. I suspect Colton is gonna make a decent amount of money, otherwise TB would’ve kept him. The Ava can’t really afford an expensive 4C. This guy is an energetic, 20-20 guy. He’s the 3C without question.

Tbh he would be a fantastic LW for Mack. Would replace a lot of what we lost with Landy including being able to jump in and take key faceoffs on that line.

I had that thought as well. I would not be surprised if they get someone else who can play center. Avs love their middle 6 guys who can play all around the lineup. Newhook wasn't devopling into that at all, so they went and turned him into a guy who is proven to be that kind of player at a high level, and added an AHLer and another first round pick.

Amazing work so far by Cmac this offseason.
