If the Celtics lost this game against the Knicks I would have blamed Mazzulla because he kept Jaylen Brown in the game. Jaylen played 38 minutes and scored just 11 points. He had his usual 2 turnovers, he scored 4 of 11 FG and 0 of 4 3Ps. Need I say more about Money Bags

1. It's refreshing to me not having to watch Marcus Smart at the end of games and seeing a new leadership structure. The reaction by Tatum when Porzingis hit late 3 was awesome.

2. I know it's opening night and you want to win but playing Porzingis 38 minutes a night probably isn't sustainable. Gonna have to see some bench growth as we go on.

It’s nice having a point guard who takes high percentage shots.

KP was great, Tatum was Tatum.

Brown almost torpedoed them.

Lots of growth to come.

I am reading that I should give credit to Mazzulla for keeping Jaylen Brown away from the ball in the closing minutes of the game. Well I posted earlier that if the Celtics lost I would have blamed Joe Mazzulla for playing Jaylen Brown based on the points per minute played, I think 38 minutes played a total of 11 points. 0 of 4 3Ps; 4 of 11 FG, & 3 of 4 FT. BTW, he also had his famous Turnovers, which he had two during this game. This is the performance of our high-price player. I am being redundant. I earlier asked if we should have a Jaylen Brown Turnover Tread. During last season's Eastern Conference Finals Jaylen Brown had more Turnovers than Assists, he was rewarded with a Super Max contract. Not true, he got the big pay check for making the NBA All Star Second Team. Something wrong with that system. Hey it is the first game of the season so I am getting my Jaylen Brown venting out of the way. I am done, unless he continues to hurt the team or almost hurt the team as he did tonight. He should not have been on the court after he showed how his performance for tonight's game. Later

Brad gonna pull a Lou Lamoriello and fire Mazzulla before the playoffs and down comes Van Gundy to the bench after observing all year.

Joking of course but a firm evaluation of Mazzulla probably takes place at the halfway point. Given the urgency ownership and management has shown i don't think Brad would hesitate to fire Mazzulla and ride Cassell/Lee/Van Gundy. Hell, even himself.

not so quick with the "joking," you may have suggested a real possibility.

I had to laugh; the 76ers told James Harden he would not board the plane for the 76ers road games. The NBA League office is investigating. That's a joke. They were a part of the decision before it happened. This could reach a point where no team will want Hardin, hope so.

Daryl Morey is a clown. Why is he so hell bent on keeping a disgruntled James Harden? James Harden is a losing player to begin with but when he clearly doesn't want to be there what's the point? Do you think this makes Embiid want to stay in Philly to be a part of this circus?

Everyone, meaning Philly, the League, and Joe Embiid, is sending a message to James Harden. The message is you are not getting your way. & you will not play on any team.
