Visual proof that Jimmy Butler has no true friends.. Not ONE person took him aside and said. “Jimmy man, I love you brother, but we gotta talk….”

In all seriousness though, that’s gotta be distracting as hell for his teammates.. Imagine being at the line for a crucial free throw and looking over and seeing THAT. I don’t think I could keep a straight face.

Bruh, he looks like an emo kid circa 2009 lol. All that's missing is the eye liner. XDDDD

I admire Jimmy. That kind of belief--even if it seems irrational--can get you a long way.

As for his emo look, it is just weird. He reminds me of ? of ? and the mysterians. It almost has me crying 96 Tears.

NBC Sports Boston names Drew Carter to be Mike Gorman’s successor on Celtics broadcasts

Carter is a Minnesota native and 2019 Syracuse graduate who has been with ESPN since August 2021. He has called a variety of sports there, including football, basketball, softball, and lacrosse. Last Sunday, he was the play-by-play announcer on ESPN and Disney’s “Toy Story” broadcast of the Falcons-Jaguars NFL game.

They couldn't find a New Englander to fill Gorman's spot? 😕

I at least thought Grande was going to get the gig. Hopefully he does well!

A Syracuse broadcasting degree and a little experience carries a lot of weight. He must be pretty smooth to replace Gorman. However, like you, I would have liked a New Englander.

Well, he did a good job with Toy Story Football last Sunday..............

Ownership wants Sean and Max to be the local broadcast voices if they make a long playoff run.

In 1967 when Channel 56 got the TV rights they elected to go non-objective with the announcers. Precious little video of this tandem survived.

When TV38 was owned by the Archidiosce of Boston they hired this guy for road games

Nooooo. That means Wallach doesn’t get the radio gig.

Not surprising unfortunately.
The suits today average half my age.....................

I said this in the Jack Edwards thread but you can't tell me Edwards wasn't influenced by this announcer, especially with sarcasm

I legitimately thought that was Grande's job to lose. Surprised they went in a different direction.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Grande look for a bigger stage at this point.

Wallach is not a professional caliber play-by-play guy.

Jon’s hit is sadly because he is Fred’s tool bag. He takes his crap daily. He also jumps as high a Fred wants him to this making a mockery of himself. No way the Celtic brand would want attached to them with a full time gig.

All I saw was that Jaylen Brown put his shorts on backwards, but how did they look?

They looked good. Pritchard looked phenomenal. Crowd was electric. There was a guy on Philly named Smart and every time Gorman said his name I had to do a double take.

Off topic but not really. I am kinda disappointed that the Celtics didn't put out any statements condemning the terrorist attack in Israel but the Sixers did. Boston claims to stand for injustices but remain silent today. Mazzulla briefly spoke to the media pre-game and offered his prayers. But to my knowledge the Celtics organization has been silent.

I caught a bit of the game, deciding to give basketball a try this year. Have always been a highlights basketball fan. Porzingis looks like the legit big they needed. Pritchard looks energized. JB and JT will be their usual selves. I dont know much about Jrue Holiday, wasnt that noticeable. If the team can stay healthy, this could be the team this year. Porzingis, to me at least, definitely seems like he can be the guy to elevate JB and JT. (viewpoint of someone who knows nothing about basketball)

Three things about that game worry me: One they almost beat us without Embeiid and Harden or Harden's replacement. Two, Tatum had one of his trademark dumpster fire games, and three, Mazulla and his three pointers over everything philosophy still remains.

So I heard a brief discussion about this on radio. Being the radio guy means you get to do all playoff rounds compared to TV. The way it was described it was as if Grande has no interest in the TV job.
