I've always been a Bruins fan, but in the 80's my dad and I came down from Vermont occasionally to see Risto Siltnanen, Torrie Robertson and company at "The Mall". May I suggest a Whalercanes/Flyers Cooperall faceoff during preseason?

The HNIC panel defending Rielly after the game was laughable. Hrudey was the only one that should it should be 5-6 game suspension. The rest of them bent themselves into almost pretzel’s to say he had to do it and stuck up for him. MacLean called him a great leader or something…….then played a clip…….I kid you not…..from another game recently where they mic picks up a Leaf defenceman calling out Reilly on a play by his first name. They showed it to say that Rielly is so respected he’s called by his fit’s name on the ice. Unreal. For those that never have to watech the Sportsnet (aka Leafnet) or HNIC, consider yourselves lucky. Totally unwatchable as a national broadcast in Canada.

Rielly should get 5 games. He won’t. He might get 2 because it’s TO and it’s the NHL. Pathetic

He's usually right on the money.

Give him credit, Dangle doesn’t sugar coat and will call them out. Good video and good point about them not having passion. I think the Leafs make the playoffs but as a wild card team at best. Hard to believe they could lose to Ottawa………however…..I won’t say much based on what we have seen in some recent Bruins games…….

My high school playing days we had cooperalls. I was the goalie so I didn't have to wear them but from what I remember the guys liked them.

I was there with my 13 year old niece. It was her first game. She asked if they were all like this, I told her no, you got a good one. She also became a big Habs hater when the Habs fans in my section boo'd the veteran getting filmed for the 8-Spoke Salute (they used to film it right next to my seats). She asked me "Why are they booing that soldier?" I replied, they are Habs fans, it's what they do.

I was at that one too.

Definitely the most enjoyable game I ever saw in person.

nobody on here would be freaking out if a player took a slap shot at an empty net! When any player sticks a player in the head area, they are cowards and deserve what McSorley got while playing for the Bs. A Leaf will probably get a fine at most from the idiot that runs player safety though!

TBH, if a guy did that to the B’s, I’d want it addressed.

May I ask which high school? I attended some Mass. state tournament games in the 80's, at the old Garden and elsewhere, and Cooperall-wearing teams I recall offhand include St. John's Prep, Acton-Boxborough and North Andover.
