My brother flew into Dallas this morning for the game. Lucky bastard!
Hope they win.

I loved watching Bruins & Celtics games there - the smog or smoke Im not sure I could handle nowCongrats to the Jays. I still had more fun watching Bird and McHale back in the day though. Really enjoyed how the game was played. First game I saw live was at the old "Gahden" back in '86 at the age of 13. Talk about a loud and rabid crowd lol. The crowds now are not nearly as loud but times are different. That team was amazing to watch though!
Yeah it was a different environment. As a teen I never minded the smoke....I was just excited to be there. I remember the penalty box as well........old school!I loved watching Bruins & Celtics games there - the smog or smoke Im not sure I could handle now
People all around me smoking while drinking a beer would definitely blow peoples minds
We would buy McDonald’s food and bring it right in which was definitely going on in mid 80’s
the era was crazy
I loved Mad Men and was like 1 in 1960 but I remember a lot about it and so bang on how people were so much different than today
My spot was Penalty Box Lounge- duct tape on seats and never ever start shit you might end up at Boston Sand & Gravel like Billy Batts in Goodfellas

I was an Iron Horse regular since it was in Boston Garden - Sully’s occasionally but after Penalty Box or FoursThe Penalty Box was where Sully's patrons went when they wanted to go slumming.

On Saturday games afternoon we’d go over to Clarke’s in Fanuel Hall. This is bar Neely apparently knocked out a hammered Byers one Friday night - wasn’t there but that’s the story
I'm not surprised. I have been at bars when Byers was there after his playing days. He could be a mean drunk and actually threatened me when I went up to the bar to order a couple of drinks. Have no idea why as I did not even see him there or even spoke to him. Apparently that section of the bar was his that night. People just gave me a look letting me know he was blitzed and to give him a wide berth.I was an Iron Horse regular since it was in Boston Garden - Sully’s occasionally but after Penalty Box or Fours

imagine being in that gym class
I loved Daisy Buchanen’s but was so mobbed you couldn’t move - my HS friend worked there and told me of all the athletes and famous folks to go in there - Butch Hobson late 70’s was in a league by himself when it came to women (and probably no coincidence he was the nicest guy)Ran into Cam and Byers a few times at Daisy's. A hammered Byers was a common sight in those days.

I wish I could be there.Tuesday is 1st option if there's a Parade; but that's up to the City/Commonwealth....
