The injuries will happen often enough that it will never drop off the first page. How is this not a sticky thread
There are tests that determine bone fracture risks over the next 10 years. I don't know of tests that evaluate future injury risks to ligaments and tendons.
Were there any medical red flags with Dach? Did Chicago's staff secretly know something we didn't? I doubt it. At the time of the trade, we got a 100% healthy player who, unfortunately, has now been hurt twice. Different injuries, different causes, and – most frustrating – unpredictable.
It absolutely sucks, but there's a good chance Dach can recover 100%, as other players have. Right now that's all we have.
At 6 months he could be back for playoffsIf the report is accurate that he has torn mcl & acl then he is done for the year. As an torn acl is usually 6-9 months depending on the severity.
Him and Price are going to be healthy just for the playoffs and put a Tampa special. Cup is our guys !With the timing of his injury, he should be cleared to train at 100% next off-season.
Agreed. But humans are notoriously bad at digesting random events. We overlay patterns where there are none to create the illusion of control over an uncaring universe. The two injuries were completely unrelated. What are the chances a player hits the net at full speed with his wrist ? Or that he gets awkwardly hit by a 6'7" idiot on the bench ? Some players are just unlucky.
what about the MCL?Do you know about torn ACL's?
It takes around 6 months minimum for the new tendon to organically graft itself to bone..
Next Slaf and Caufield and it's a repeat of last season.Dach and now Guhle. I may be heading for complete disinterest in record time this year.
Monahan will be next.Next Slaf and Caufield and it's a repeat of last season.
We all know Slafkovsky is next.what other prospects we have that are made of glass?
