well the good news is he is a UFA after next season, hopefully he can be moved in the off season or next season. If not, he is for sure walking as a UFA in the summer in 2025!!!

He can definitely be moved at the deadline.

I just didn't think his play was good enough this year for a team to commit that money this year and next year, as it'd have to be a contender.

I feel bad for Dvorak. His tenure as a Hab has been incredibly underwhelming.

I wish him well.
He seems like a good dude.

And I was hoping he'd eventually get moved to the wing and put up good offensive numbers, and then we'd get something for him. Now it looks like we may get a late pick at next year's TDL. And we have a lot of young wingers that I'd like to see gwt a shot in the top 9, like Ylonen and RHP. So this injury could open the door for them.

Dvorak has played like crap so much that he has completely shut down his value. The cap space is going to be more useful for trading than he would have been.

I wonder if Hughes tries to unload him in the summer instead of gambling on the deadline. Dvorak and St-Louis simply don't seem to be a good match at all.

Can't wait to get rid of him.

You're not wrong, but the funny thing is that the habs would have likely struggled to fully weaponize their capspace even before dvo went down. Now it's looking like we'll have somewhere in the ballpark of 12m capspace with dvo/dach/wideman/price all on ltir.

Is Dvorak a good fit with anyone ? What an atrocious, underperforming player !

Underwhelming?

It has been a total disaster.

In a few years from now people won’t even remember he a actually played for us.

Never saw a a more disinterested, vanilla player in my life - he literally brought nothing to he table.

And to think we gave a first and a second for this

And with all the Dvorak news, we missed that RHP and Pearson are on track on their rehabs and started skating (should be back around January 20th based on calculations of their injury duration).
