It's one thing to witness a rebuild but it's a real downer when the rebuild pieces are injured longterm.

It's really bad. The season has been slandered.
It shows we need depth.
I hope management uses the open roster spots at forward to develop Ylonen, not Pearson and Armia. Maybe Heineman gets some reps.

So have we heard Newhook is day to day with a LBI yet?
10-12 weeks with a high ankle. Basically, we'll see him again in March.
Wow, this sucks so much. I was really liking him. Fantastic release, great skater.
Newhook & Dach gone for the season. It can't be the older guys, eh? Nope, we get to live with Pearson & Anderson.
High ankle sprain is a tricky injury. Especially for someone who's main skill is their speed.

i already lost interest in this team after dach's injury. i was most excited to watch him this season.

That exactly my point though. They were fired as scapegoats for our injury record, but we're still getting injured
Many of last year injuries were caused by over/under off-ice training injuries getting aggravated by playing (like Caufield's shoulder) or clearing a guy to play when he wasn't healed like Monahan and Gallagher were. Or bad diagnostic (whatever Dach got that turn being sick to a LBI). They were not just scapegoats.
Many of this year injuries are actually caused by younger players having no idea how to protect themselves on the ice anymore (something Tortella complained about very recently) along the team getting hemmed in their own zone for way too long.

Ugh. Not that he was a total world-breaker to begin with, but Chris Higgins was never the same player after his high ankle sprain... 
Its not just Montreal. 132 players league wide are injured as of 9 this morning. Leafs are also decimated especially on D.

Rebuild has been affected by a tsunami!!!! Delayed completion. Hopefully the returning "building materials" will meet "code"!
I suspect the curse is thanks to Molson. Sell the team Geoff and let us have a chance to win.

When does the blaming of the new medical staff begin? Since nothing changed from last year despite an entire new staff? No really...blaming people not on the ice and luck is moronic. When you have 200 lb guys flying around at 30 mph and crashing into each other and nets/boards then sometimes anatomical components will be damaged. This can all be prevented by benching players for entire games or wrapping them in bubble wrap!
