Yeah I remember reading about UEFA backing down on that one.Didn't they drop that in the end in the new superliga fiasco?

Yeah, it looks to be an extra game or two for every team in it. That's not the worst part. There should be dead rubbers for most of the good teams in there.Don't think they did? This was 7 days ago, 2 more games for all and 4 for some as there will be a knockout phase to reach the round of 16 for some teams..

Mainoo is still too raw to be there, but he's looking like he could be a solid option for that slot for many years if he keeps developing. What's the England squad right now in terms of the best possible one (obviously Southgate's too much of a wet wipe to do anything interesting)? Also, I am NOT an Everton fan I just don't see any potentially better options for a holding midfielder outside of maybe Gallagher who isn't playing there cos Poch is trying to force Caicedo into a DMF role. And for the CBs, I think a pairing of Stones & Kilman MIGHT be better but with the limited coaching probably better to stick to whoever has the best chemistry.
Pickford
TAA-Tarkowski-Brathwaite-Trippier
---Garner---
Palmer-Bellingham-Foden (interchange)
----Kane----

Honestly they need to find a way to have all four of Saka/Bellingham/Foden/Palmer in the side imo but won't.
Was literally about to quote your post and rip you to pieces, LOL.f*** I forgot about Declan Rice lmao I was thinking who goes in that holding role friggin James Garner or that new Crystal Palace kid maybe lol.
Sterling/Grealish over Bowen is thievery. Ward-Prowse though doesn’t deserve it. Guy runs around a lot and had a good run to start the season, but is painfully average across the board. Even his set-pieces this season are mostly a disappointment relative to expectations. Was literally about to quote your post and rip you to pieces, LOL.
Starting XI, based on best possible and tactical fits, IMO:
Foden - Kane - Saka
Bellingham - Gallagher
Rice
Shaw - Stones - Maguire - Trent
Pickford
Bench: Watkins, Sterling, Grealish, Maddison, Walker, Pope, Tomori, Colwill, Chilwell, Guehi, Ramsdale, Ward-Prowse
There's no clean backup to Rice in the 6. If he gets injured mid-tournament, you put Stones there.
Different roles. If Bowen is in the squad, it's as an alternative option in the goalscoring forward spot, and I comfortably take Watkins over him there.Sterling/Grealish over Bowen is thievery. Burnley have 5 of the 10 youngest starting XIs in the league this year. Chelsea have 4. Brighton have 1.Surprised most by Burnley's minutes. I don't watch most of their matches, but when I've watched, haven't noticed particularly young players in their line-up.
I suppose almost all of those minutes come from Odobert and Koleosho.
Club | # of XIs in top 50 |
Burnley | 16 |
Chelsea | 12 |
Arsenal | 8 |
Brighton | 4 |
Spurs | 4 |
Sheffield | 3 |
Bournemouth | 2 |
Forest | 1 |
I was wondering about the legitimacy of the graphic. Are those minutes in the Prem?Scarlett has 51 minutes and Donley 7 for Spurs.
