My former team United have the opportunity to win the league yet.

Or a comfort to reach the Champions League.

Great to win the Champions League.

Luton are newbie in Premier League.

United and Liverpool are the most champions in Premier League.
Liverpool is actually behind United, City, Arsenal, and Chelsea in terms of PL titles, and level with Leicester and Blackpool.

Now, if you want to count pre-Premier League titles, then you can't say Luton is a newbie.

Regardless, none of that changes the fact that this season, Luton has scored one fewer goal than United in one fewer game.

Liverpool has 20 titles.

United has 20 titles.

It's just impressive how hard you cling to being incorrect. Liverpool has 19 titles, of which, only one was during the Premier League era.

Again, no issue saying that have 19 titles, but you can't then also say Luton Town is new to the Premier League given that they have spent time in the First Division before.

And, once again, that is all irrelevant to the original discussion.

I wonder if Man United can't play with the pressure? They had a positive winning streak similar to this one last season albeit it was a lot earlier in the season. Nevertheless, they had no pressure last year because of the transition phase and now they have zero pressure because they know they ain't winning the league. Getting rid of all the parasite players also helps.

Nah, they're just inconsistent/not talented enough/not managed well enough. They've crapped the bed when there hasn't been any pressure on them plenty of times.

Hope this means that Chilwell can win back a starting spot for England. He's had a hard time pinning it down, but if Shaw misses the Euros then I'd hope Chilly gets it over Trippier playing on his off side.

What do Chelsea fans think of Gusto?
he's unpredictable, both in-game and from game-to-game. insanely ballsy and arrogant on the pitch, which often leads to strokes of genius but sometimes leads to pretty bad errors. he's really grown into the team and has made it possible for James to really take his time coming back to full fitness.

really special crosser and strong in possession (which occasionally leads to him dribbling into trouble before dribbling himself out of trouble). has come on leaps and bounds defensively just since the season started, he's become a lot more confident in one-v-one situations. still has some work to do on positioning.

i'm definitely a big fan though. big big big fan.

Thanks! I ask because whenever I see him play, he looks phenomenal with the ball, absolutely lost defensively, and unnoticeable when he doesn't have it - though gets in good positions at least offensively.

Where do you see him play when James comes back? Is Chelsea grooming him to eventually become a winger (due to his potential and tech skills) or a backup option that will eventually replace Reece?

Gusto was a midfielder turned into a RB. He will need time to learn the position. Incredible crosser though and lots of energy. WBS is spot on.

I thought he was fantastic against City BTW. On both sides.

He was definitely bought to play RB, no grooming or nothing. He was brought in to be a rotation option with Reece, under the assumption that Reece misses a lot of time and also should have his minutes a little managed when he's fit. I think the idea is that it'll be a 1A/1B type situation. If James can be like John Stones, who only plays ~30 games in all competitions a season but is the first name on the team sheet for important fixtures, I think that's a situation that can work effectively.

He and Disasi were a toss-up for MOTM for me.
