He honestly does remind me a fair bit of Zetterberg, and that's not to say that's what I expect from him, but just in playstyle.

That being said, he did also outproduce him (on a per game basis) at the same level at the same age, so who knows where his ceiling is.

Apologies if there's already a thread dedicated to him but if there is I can't find it. I saw his big jump in the prospects list but couldn't find much online either. Does the kid have a real shot with the big club?

He's very underrated due to the quantity of high-end prospects in the Habs pool, but he could be a player. He was not on most's radar becausr of an injury in his draft year IIRC.

Possibly in the future, definitely not this year.

He had a great season in the Allvenskan and good playoffs in the SHL.

He should make the SHL team this year and we'll see how he progresses.

If this guy becomes a top 6er we're gonna have to expand our top 6 to a top 12 we'll have so much talent. Insane depth in the organization right now.

Going from struggling in the SHL last year to being on the top line this year is impressive, 25 pts would be a nice jump in production as he had just 6 points in the SHL last year.

For reference, Lars Eller at 19 put up 29 pts in 40 games in the SHL, Eirksson turns 20 in 6 weeks so not really the same since Eller turned 19 at the end of the previous season so he was 19 all year.

Eriksson is cold (most of Vaxjo is though) after a really good Champions League performance.

Hopefully one goes in for him soon and he gets rolling.

I wanted to keep the Champions league separate as the level of competition isn't great when they are facing teams from the EIHL, or Norway etc... he's got 8 pts in 13 games at that level but in the SHL after today he's played 38 games with 6 pts.

Eriksson seems to be really struggling to produce in the SHL so far. I'd have expected a harder year but it's a pretty far drop off in production even with the promotion in leagues, I wonder if he's injured.

Sure but he was on a higher PPG pace last year over 29 games than he is now. He had over a PPG in the Allsvenskan on loan, he was playing great. This year it's crickets. Thanks for the analysis though.
No real pressure last year when he came up.

The team will draft duds and you just hope those duds are after the 2nd round.
