He says in the article he will come to next year's development camp. Would have come this year but is recovering from surgery.
Makes sense too - he'll be a lot closer to being free to sign and come over.
I don't follow the KHL but everything I have read says a lot of us are making a mistake assuming he won't take a spot in the blueline.
The ice time he gets as a 20-21 year old in the KHL is not common.
Well they are in no rush to add more young defensemen right now anyway and they trust Larionov to treat him well. Who knows, a late darkhorse?
Well, coaches hype their players up, in the media because they want their confidence to go up, and also because if their players go onto good opportunities after being with their team, the team looks like a good organization for young players to join.

Hard for me to get excited about his offense, or his potential as a shutdown d, due to his size. Kind of like Jordan Harris.
His coach is Igor Larionov and Bogdan already is a captain in the KHL at his age so I really doubt it’s just standard coach praise.
Doesn’t mean it will work out in the NHL but even if you’re not excited he’s a good prospect to have in our system and it’s perfectly fine if people forget about him while he develops.
He's strangely cultured for a 21 year old hockey player, there's something different about him and his mental game, and I'm confident that's why Larionov has faith in him. I have a good feeling about him, and I think he could really fit the culture HuGo are trying to build.
True. But then again, in Russia they generally have a stronger "reading culture" than in the US or Canada so that may have something to do with it.

Why are you not excited for his offence?
13th in the KHL in D scoring
6th for U27
2nd for U23
1st for U22
5th in overall scoring on his team
Lead D scoring by 13 points
Well he'll turn 22 in the first months of the upcoming season. How many points should a dman with offensive potential in the NHL be putting up as a 22 year old in the KHL?
Ive just listened to Habs Eyez On the Prize episode on Bogdan K. They say his IQ is excellent BUT his skating is atrocious. Most likely a 3rd pairing D for us. It really tempered my expectations.
