Bogdan can't come over until the 2026-2025 season. Savard/Kovacevic will be gone by then and I expect Guhle to be back to LD, he's only playing RD until Barron shows he's not busting or Mailloux learn to play in his own zone or Reinbacher shows he can play in the NHL.
We'll see long term how Guhle does on the right side. If he's just as good on the right, playing him there allows us to keep 3 of the following LD's long term, instead of just two of them: Hutson, Xhekaj, Matheson, Struble, Engstrom.

For the next year, I think MSL will try to put the best dcore on the ice. I mean if say one of Mailloux or Reinbacher beats out Barron, then Hughes may have to make a trade. Because Barron can't be sent down, while Reinbacher and Mailloux can be.

I don't even think Barron is there next training camp. He needs a really good end of season with Laval.

I would try to trade Barron to Detroit for Berggren.

Yeah it's going to be an interesting offseason. I think Hughes has to trade at least one of the current 8 dmen.

But the sooner Reinbacher, Engstrom, and Hutson come to NA/turn pro the better. Because if any of them show they're NHL ready, Hughes will have to move a dman to make room for them.

Doesn't sound good. We have all the fuss around "Adam Nicholas" and wtv but we can't keep contact with one of our best prospects ? Yikes.
Meh

Track record of this group suggests communication with players is both a priority and strong point.

"Not hearing much" is a pretty vague statement. Hard to draw any real conclusion from that comment. Doesn't specify Bogdan's feelings or perception of it either way.

What’s interesting about the replies to that Tweet is how apparently, Konyushkov was named captain of his team and assumes the role at only age 21.

That is very interesting. Haven't followed him much.

What is this Russia 25 international thing?

I look at it more along the lines communication isn't easy for prospects in the KHL. Brière was on La Poche Bleue and said they don't have much contact with Michkov. But it gives you an idea that KHL organizations aren't keen on having the NHL teams communicate much with their prospects.

Absolutely true. There are things to blame them for, lack of communication doesn't seem to be one of them. And based on Brière comments on Michkov, it then makes sense. If they feel he is a great prospect, there will be enough communication.

Reading some things Brière said recently about Michkov, communication is limited with prospects under contract of KHL teams since they are the property of those Russian teams and not the NHL team.

Bottom line, guys like Bogdan, Fowler, Engstrom, and Hutson make me really look forward to rounds 2 to 4 and beyond of the upcoming draft.

His skating looks so smooth and easy. Have not seen him play but my gut tells me this is where his value is. Skating and IQ. He's a leader type and plays a good complete game.

Only potential problem I see is the height/size. Until he proves otherwise, my expectations are another Jordan Harris, maybe with a little more offense, or maybe even if he doesn't have much offense, a little more zest as a puck mover up the ice.
