Only potential problem I see is the height/size. Until he proves otherwise, my expectations are another Jordan Harris, maybe with a little more offense, or maybe even if he doesn't have much offense, a little more zest as a puck mover up the ice.

Yup, I'm not expecting much but you never know where the surprises will be. Our pool is deep and not all will be who they project to be but some will surprise us.

What sort of chance does he have of surpassing one of the many defenders we have coming up?

He’s likely our 4th or 5th best prospect at D.

Unlikely to pass the “big 3” of Hutson, Reinbacher and Mailloux. I have him below Engstrom as well.

He looks way more solid than Harris. Kind of reminds me of Boullion/Suzuki (two different sized players I know) that have that thickness to their stature. The fact that Larionov is his coach makes me happy. I think he could be an NHL regular eventually, but I would imagine in a #5D role. Checking out his highlights and he looks so reliable and patient. A little like Gorges in that way. With the logjam at D, it's nice to know we can just wait it out and see if he becomes something that fits our needs.

Drafting and developing eh...............who knew.
Habs in 2024 light years ahead of years gone by.

Offensively for sure, defensively, no but I thought Harris had a tough year at least in the little I saw of him but I think he will bounce back and look better next season. He's just so smart but damn is he small.
Sorry I meant just in stature. But I agree Harris has a lot to offer if he can find a groove

Harris will have to bulk up with age and experience I think if he wants to be a good NHL dman.

And yet Bobrov made several trips to Russia to meet with Demidov and his family over the last couple years.
There may be multiple reasons for Bobrov’s suggested different levels of interest, including the fact that there is a clear differential in these two players’ objective potential.

And it definitely may be that Bobrov's information told him Michkov is a bad apple.

missed it as it started at 8 am, just says who scored the goals in the 8-8 tie, nothing about Konyuskhov.

They drafted him and likely don't need to communicate with him directly all that much since he's in a good team with a good coach who is deploying him heavily.
I agree with that. I was referring to past posts about other Russian players signed to the KHL. Bogdans situation is rather unusul for KHL defenders his age and it’s optimal for his development
