the longer I watch Hughes the more I'm thinking its something like a Charlie horse and he's trying to slowly work down the muscle tightness. Seems like the only reason he would be keeping on trying to deal with it and acting like it can get better.

Ok. Time for a grownup to tell Hughes he’s done for the night.
This. If it’s his knee that is bugging him for sure yank him. If it’s just a sore foot or muscle / charlie horse ,then sure play through it but it’s looks like it’s his knee. Don’t piss around if it even has a remote possibility of being a lingering injury.
Ice been surprised by Hauser. He’s been noticeable serveral times this game.

It wasn’t much. His ankle kind of jiggled. If he’s playing right now, it’s not a big injury. You know when you were a kid on the playground and you kind of twisted your ankle during recess? It sucks and you’re not 100% for a while, but you’re good to go for the afternoon recess lol.

Definitely not the only reason. Other reason is that hockey players can be too tough for their own good and will be idiots trying to pay through an injury and no one is shutting him down.

I’m pretty sure it’s the ankle from the replay we saw. Looked like he turned it a little. I’m pretty sure if it was a big injury or risky he’d be out.

Tough goal against but I disagree with the announcer, I think the shot went off the defenseman’s glove.

Lets hope that Hughes still has his Kid healing ability still. That goes away quickly in the early twenties o_O

I would especially hope that since this is a coaching staff for a team for players that can still be considered kids that they would look out for them better then that.

He’s out there and not struggling as much as he did at the start of the period. Pretty good sign. Regardless, with the way CZE is playing, the States won’t go ahead. Luke will have lots of time to recuperate before the Michigan camp.

It honestly feels like a really mild sprained ankle to me. Twisted his ankle a little. But he’s still moving out there. It’s not serious, just annoying.

It's hard to really tell because the nature of his game is super relaxed but he really just looks to be going through the motions.

Yeah, he's struggling, but he seems more comfortable then at the start of the period. He probably twisted his ankle a little, time and the intermission will help. If the US goes on to win this, he'll be fine Friday night, I'm pretty sure.

Ok seriously , someone that knows what the f*** they are doing has to check out Hughes better. He can hardly skate but no one on the bench even looks like they are concerned about it at all. Its bullshit .
