Ok first half, great second half for Hughes. Could've had 3 assists again tonight. Awesome assist on the goal called back, Coronato post after his shot, made a few other good passes in the slot, took some shots, broke ankles on the blue line, skating on full display again. Overall good game for Hughes even though he didn't get a point.

Very solid tournament so far for him.

Whoever is in charge of pricing for this event should have to go into the locker rooms and explain to the boys why the arena is 95% empty. At a certain point, just wave the white flag, set the non-Canadian games at $10, and fill the arena. Be a little flexible to supply and demand.

I get that indoor sports might be a hard sell during a short Edmonton summer, but the crowds are just embarrassing.

We were right, he's definitely getting rested for the bigger games coming up. 13:09 of ice-time for Luke today. That's VERY low compared to the first 2 games (22:15 and 21:18 respectively).

I've seen a few pretty violent swings at goalie heads on some attempts. We're just going to wait for the first goalie concussion before it's banned.

The Michigan is a beautiful goal everytime its scored. I don't know how some of you guys can really dislike/hate it , it's a pure skill move. Yeah it might be a more common thing than it was back in the day but look at the players who pull it off. It's still as special as it was back when our prospect pulled invented it....as long as the stick is level with pr under the crossbar it's a good goal. I can't believe some of you guys don't like it. If Jack pulled one off or does in the future I'm sure you guys would be thrilled.
