This f***ing sucks. One week ago i lost my girlfriend and a job and an elected position on the same day. My love of hockey and the late night (in Sweden) sessions watching the WJC with a beer really helped me pull through. f*** this shit and f*** Corona

That's not true. CNN was spreading this information as well, citing early studies from Pfizer claiming these things.

And are you sure you aren't accidentally blaming Canada for Marin's (well deserved) night out?
 
I wouldn't have an issue with it being pushed back until the summer when the COVID isn't as serious.
 
Looks like Ontario are lifting testing, case reporting and contact tracing and just telling people to stay home if they aren’t feeling well. Could common sense finally be prevailing in this country?

People never really died at 30, once you took out infant mortality life span wasn't that far off where it is now. Kind of off topic but it always bugs me when I see this lol

It's something very real though. I work in a hospital and I've seen it first hand. The last thing we want to hear is about how your mother couldn't get a surgery done because covid overwhelmed the system. It's a legit thing.

However, fortunately thus far Omicron is pretty mild. It might be the perfect variant to increase immunity while also simultaneously not overwhelming the system. And if we're lucky it transforms to become even weaker and carry on that lineage.

If you're gonna buy one thing covid related, it's the hospital thing. However with that said, governments absolutely f***ing suck at allocating funds to where they're needed in order to help with that crisis. Governments often cheap out horrendously when it comes to healthcare. Or even worse, all the money goes to upper management nonsense.

me, too.
it occurred to me (took way too long for me to see this, imo) to check into that accepted myth after maybe the 500th time i looked into the life of a famous historical figure and realized that they all lived to eighty unless they died in battle,

The actual decisions on the accommodation arrangements were, probably, not made by iihf alone.

The result of the (reasonable, insufficient, half mad, other) testing and restrictions protocol is not the cause.
