Berrios has had 17 good starts and 8 bad starts.

The bad ones have just been horrific. Wonder how much of it is pitch-tipping - they certainly thought that was the case earlier and the mouthguard was an attempt at a fix.

They should really put Gurriel in between Bo and Teo - way too much swing and miss between Bo/Teo to put them consecutively

2 lefties coming up

I am not a huge fan of the lefty righty matchups unless they are just brutal against one or the other, I just want someone to come in who can provide consistent good innings when it comes to the jays pen at this point, at least bass is up.

Interesting decision to bring back mayza in a 2-2 game...

Yup.

Bad move. Hadn’t pitched in almost 3 weeks. Should have been broken back in in last nights blowout.

Edit : also why aren’t they walking Hernandez to set up the DP/force at home?

Edit x2 : ok, if Bass does that it’s fine.

Spot on, Mayza got the righty out but gave up hits to both lefties lol

How come every team has these nasty relievers? Unbelievable.
Jays have a pretty good bullpen too though.

Romano, Mayza, Garcia, and Phelps all have a 2-something ERA, Bass has a 1.36 ERA, and Cimber/Pop both have a low 3 ERA. In the playoffs, we'll also be using Mitch White out of the pen too who has a 3-something ERA

It's not the weak pen we saw last year that's for sure. The Jays weakness this year has been inconsistent hitting among some of the guys in the heart of the order (Bo/Teo) and the starters having some really bad starts on a rather frequent basis (Berrios/Kikuchi)

No, I know. I am saying even the crappy teams have these lock down arms in the back of the bullpen.
