Ok, that's enough BABIP for you. Lucky we got out of that with just 1 run. Gausman you can start racking up K's now please

Are there no Cameras in CF or RF?
there should be and since the umpire was not in position to make the call he should've asked another umpire or called him safe. You can't call someone out if you didn't see it. I guess that works on calling safe too.

Oh no, we suck again! :sarcasm: (this was somehow left over from earlier in the game where I posted it, but it's still relevant now )

Are there no Cameras in CF or RF?

Nope, but the biggest problem is that it looked like there was a very real chance he was safe but the ump was in the worst possible position and chose to make an aggressive call instead of asking for help or erring on the side of caution.

Sometimes I feel like the presence of replay has increased the aggressiveness with which umps make calls. Like they'll be more likely to call guys out on close plays figuring that if they get it wrong there'll be a challenge and replay can overturn them. But when the rule is that you need clear-cut, incontrovertible proof to overturn a call on the field, those close calls end up sticking because of situations like this where the cameras can't get a clear shot of what actually happened.

Tapia fixing his launch angle doesn't look like it's actually made him a better player. He just has lazy fly ball outs instead of ground ball outs

A sweep is necessary here. I know it’s sort of still early but as Yogi Bera once said, “it gets late early”. The Jays need to get on the proverbial horse and get it done.
