What do you mean? Is it the balls that you're talking about?

The balls are different this year. Pitchers have said so (Manoah said of his last start that he felt like the ball was the reason he had control issues as they're inconsistent and slicker than normal. I believe Garcia also said that his HBP in the Yankees game that got him tossed was because he couldn't get a good grip on the ball) and there have been league-wide indications that the ball is significantly deader than it was last year. IIRC At least 3 Chapman long fly-outs have been remarked on as unusual because their exit velocity and launch angle would've resulted in HRs in previous seasons but fell significantly short of clearing the fence this season.

Fans: We want more balls in play.

MLB: We will deaden the balls so there are more long flyouts.

It's still early is going towards real concern with the team. The media really overrated them when they haven't proven anything yet.

Do you think he's ever done anything wrong?

It should have happened 2 years ago.
ok that's the past, but you said that it's early enough to salvage the season with a new manager. What has he done this year to warrent a firing and if so who's available to hire?
