Of course he isn't an offensive marvel. We wouldn't have acquired him at that price if he was. He still has offensive upside though and he's 21.

Zib wasn't tearing things up at age 20-21 or even when Gorton acquired him a few years later. Gorton even got a 2nd thrown in with Zib for Brassard.

I like getting a big 21 year old center with upside in Chicago's fire-sale. A change of scenery and MSL might get his career going. He wasn't a reach at #3 like KK. He was a legit #3 pick at the time.

But Chicago is a crappy rebuilding team. Why wouls they trade Dach in first place? Major red flags man

That's what you don't understand. I know we're rebuilding but the players you're acquiring right now should be part of the core later on. If they don't make it, especially in year 1 of the HuGo, people will go back to this very moment to criticize the management... similar to Galchenyuk to some extent. They'll look at other moves, players picked and make comparisons.

Who cares if they do? Most of us want a rebuild instead of a patch job. This management group was left with the 32nd place team and the highest cap. Most people understand things aren't going to change overnight for this team.
