It would't be sound management if they decided not to trade for big centers with upside. These guys take time. Gorton once fleeced Ottawa for Zibanejad.
I don't think it's fair to compare Ziba (at the time of trade) with Dach (at the time of trade).

Different player. Different person.

What's your hurry now anyway? I thought were in tank mode again. I have no problem taking a big center with upside.

People can be all over the map.

Is it going to be much different? You must have read most of the posts about KK this season while he was in Carolina? It's quite a gamble. I'm not exactly sure I like this one. The moves tonight will have to pay off very soon because fans will be unhappy quite fast if they don't.

Scouts on tree teams judges that Wright had not the proper competitive edge for them. But I am sure he is going to have a great NHL career, possibly better than the three drafted before him.

Wright might be the best player in this draft. He was the most skilled with talent coming out of his ears. His playoffs he stunk the arena. I really believed he was playing injured or had bad cardio. There’s thinking the game and then there’s playing at 50% and floating to the bench. If he had more to offer, he should have given it. It’s a self-inflicted wound.
