Does LA have any $ to spend? They are going to be a candidate to take a big jump. The blueline is underrated and they are about to add two stud RHD in Faber & Clarke. If they can add a legitimate LHD & some better wingers they are going to be a problem

Burakovsky - Re-signs in Colorado
Trocheck - Signs in Montreal, 7x$7.2M AAV
Kadri - Signs in Boston, 5x$7.7M AAV
Klingberg - Signs in Seattle, 7x$7M AAV
Rakell - Re-signs in Pittsburgh
Zadorov - Signs with the Islanders, 5x$3.9M AAV.
Rust - Re-signs in Pittsburgh
Nichuskin - Re-signs in Colorado

No moves for Buffalo? Sabres have to spend like $10million just to get to the floor, $30 million in cap space

(See the crapshoot part). I'd imagine they'll get a lot of players that want an old-fashioned bad-team overpay like Dougie Hamilton got. Could easily see someone like Strome and/or Copp getting a huge payday from them.

I'm one of the few that think the Habs could rebound quickly next year with the return of Price and some good UFA signings like Letang and Kadri

Caufield Suzuki Anderson ($14.3M)
Hoffman Kadri@$7M Gallagher ($18.4M)
Pitlick@$1.5M Dvorak Evans ($7.7M)
Byron Poehling Pezzetta ($5M)

Romanov@$2M Letang@$6.5M ($8.5M)
Edmundson Petry ($9.8M)
Harris Savard ($4.4M)

Price Allen ($13.4M)

Total $81.5M

The tank crowd will hate this one :)
If Letang is willing to sign for 6.5 he'll be back in Pittsburgh

Really curious who will get Kadri. That’s gonna be a hefty AAV
Just to really piss in the Leafs Cheerios, he’ll sign with the Bruins. They need a C and he fits. One thing is for sure… players will keep their heads up playing against Boston.

You think Trocheck will get more term and just .5 million less than Kadri?

Yes. Trocheck is younger than Kadri and has a far better offensive track record than Kevin Hayes did when he got a 7x$7M AAV contract. Based on precedence for very good 2nd line centermen in UFA, I think Trocheck should get a 7x$7.2M AAV deal from somebody.

Reportedly Kris Letangs wants $7,000,000 x 5 years to stay in Pittsburgh, He's not taking less to play in Montreal.

I don't think they have any interest in spending much further than the cap floor next year.

They'll do that by signing a goalie, a bottom-6 forward and a RHD.

So I'll say Holtby, Johan Larsson, and Manson.

Kadri to Buffalo is an interesting thought, I'd personally prefer Trocheck though. I guess it really depends on ow draft day goes. Buffalo needs a top 6 center, 1-2 quality RHD and a goalie. With that many pieces missing I'd be leary of throwing big money at a FA.
They don't need a top-6 center, They have Thompson, Cozens, Mittlestadt, and Krebs.

There is zero chance Burakovsky is re-signed with the Avs. There is a better chance Kadri re-signs here than Bura, and I put that at under a 5% chance. Nichushkin will re-sign in Colorado, and Manson may be brought back as well.

I think one of the most interesting players on the list, and most difficult to clock, is Bryan Rust.

He's coming off of a 3.5 million dollar deal, he's basically only ever ridden shotgun with literal all time greats. But he sure puts up points.

I'm so curious to see where he goes, how much he gets, and how it all goes.

I think Perron stays with the blues but I wonder for how much.

I doubt it. We had a lot of space last year and only signed some cheap vets. Only position we may splurge on is a goalie.

The speculation around Giroux to Ottawa is fun, that would make a ton of sense with his personal connections there.

Gaudreau will be paid, probably at Panarin levels. A player of his talent doesn't hit free agency often. He should get 11+ unless he works something out with Calgary

You really have a poor opinion of Seattle do you? Lol Palat and Klingbert 7 years.... that'd be ridiculously insane.

Then Copp, R. Smith 8 years? If those lengths happen, hats off to you sir.

Pegula thought the Sabres were Taylor Hall away from winning the Cup in 2020, so they signed Hall, and the Sabres finished in last place.

The Sabres are on a heater this March, and it wouldn't surprise me if that excites Terry enough he decides to go out and land some "big fish" this summer to "push for the cup" next season.

What ? In what world does Trocheck get 7,2 M $? The same salary as Kadri!

Toffoli signed at 4,5 for 4 year two year ago with the same production.

If the Flyers miss out on Gaudreau, they are going to find someone else to overpay. Expect one of the top 5 or so forwards to sign with the Flyers at a substantial overpay.
