Zadorov - Washington
Copp - NYR - 8 x 5M AAV
Chiarot - Detroit
Rust - Winnipeg
Athanasiou - Los Angeles
Vatrano - Detroit
Nichushkin - Washington

Blackwell - Chicago
Manson - Montreal
Hinostroza - Vancouver
Goligoski - Seattle
Deslauriers - Rangers

Seattle doesn't have have the space to sign 13.5M worth of free agents. Also Tampa wouldn't even give Palat a 7 year deal when he was 26, anyone giving him that at 31 is asking for a future buyout. He's also not what Seattle needs, yes they can good two way players like him, they need goal scorers which is where Palat is the weakest. Also LW is their strongest position and Beniers might play there this year so there's no spot. Klingberg at 7 x 7 isn't an ideal contract but it's at least a position of need. If they did that they hopefully have a great trade for Soucy lined up because he would be the odd man out, or maybe they move Dunn?

I read Francis wanting to get aggressive during the time. Palat has experience and will be what Seattle needs, plus I think they're going to want vets opposed to young players. But you could be right about Beniers blocking the way for Palat signing in Seattle.

Sure getting in some good vets couldn't hurt but Palat is nowhere close to a 6.5M player. He hasn't hit 50+ points in 5 seasons. He's also not a player that never played a full season so he's not going to age well, 7 years is lunacy.

What’s Montreals cap space look like for next year? Pretty sure Kadri grew up a Habs fan and having Kardi and Suzuki down the middle wouldn’t be terrible for them

Don't know if you're a Kraken fan, but don't think the Kraken will be anywhere near good until 2024.

Habs are clearing up/have cleared up space to give new deals to caufield and romanov when they are able to. Kadri is nice and all but he wouldn't be what the Habs need when we are rebuilding. I think the Habs will rebuild properly this time through the draft unlike Bergevin.

somewhere around nothing
Chiarot - Detroit
I could see this happening.
Vatrano - Detroit
Seems unlikely, Vatrano doesn't bring anything new in to the line up. I'd rather play Berggren.
Jarnkrok - Detroit
Kessel - Detroit - 1 x 2M
Järnkrok maybe, Kessel no way.
---------------------------------------
Vrana - Larkin - Raymond
Fabbri - Suter - Bertuzzi
Zadina - Järnkrok - Kessel
Vatrano - Veleno - Sundqvist
Rasmussen, Erne

Walman - Seider
Chiarot - Hronek
Edvinsson - Lindström
Oesterle/Juolevi

Interesting line up though, good enough for the Bedard/Michkov sweepstakes.

Why do you hate Vancouver?

That Palet contract is brutal. He’s 31.

Kessel back to Toronto, please. That would be such a fun story to watch for the year.

Not seeing Detroit spending cap space on wingers with Bert/Vrana/Raymond/Zadina/Fabbri/Berggren/Rasmussen under contract.

It’s the one position we don’t completely suck at.

Kadri to Buffalo is an interesting thought, I'd personally prefer Trocheck though. I guess it really depends on ow draft day goes. Buffalo needs a top 6 center, 1-2 quality RHD and a goalie. With that many pieces missing I'd be leary of throwing big money at a FA.

I see Subban signing in the west. He spends off-seasons there. If not he's probably gonna sign in either Los Angeles, Anaheim, Arizona, more likely those teams than San Jose, Vegas and Seattle.

I think a team goes hard after Palat. We always see dumb contracts handed out.

Kind of, but if he wants to chase a cup so badly.
Florida has no major UFA’s coming up, whereas Colorado is probably losing Kadri in the off-season.

I’m not saying one has a better chance to win over the other, but I doubt Giroux’s outlook on both teams will have changed much by the summer.

Don't have the money for him and i don't think Kadri is worth that 9m a year he's gonna ask.
He's not getting that kind of season on Montreal.

Also our management said they wouldn't be throwing money at ufas unless it's real short deals , we are still shredding salary

Can't see Adams/Sabres signing any big ticket players in UFA this off-season. I can see him waiting at least another year to see what he has in Tage, Cozens, Krebs and Mitts down the middle along with bringing in Quinn and Peterka before he really decides what his top 6 or 9 core will be moving forward. I do believe Kadri would be a good fit for what he can provide and the Sabres currently lack in the middle, but not at the price he's likely to ask while being on the wrong side of 30.

I'm one of the few that think the Habs could rebound quickly next year with the return of Price and some good UFA signings like Letang and Kadri

Caufield Suzuki Anderson ($14.3M)
Hoffman Kadri@$7M Gallagher ($18.4M)
Pitlick@$1.5M Dvorak Evans ($7.7M)
Byron Poehling Pezzetta ($5M)

Romanov@$2M Letang@$6.5M ($8.5M)
Edmundson Petry ($9.8M)
Harris Savard ($4.4M)

Price Allen ($13.4M)

Total $81.5M

The tank crowd will hate this one :)
