Also no way Ciernek gets left out. He is dominating in the best Junior-league in Sweden, as a underager.
We got relegated in the U18 category, not U20.Man, it really sucks Slovakia is not gonna play in highest division with this dream team. Slovakia could have ended up winning it all. Its gonna be total domination in the current division,. I could see games ending like 10-0 to Slovakia.

It will be interesting to see what happens, personally I think coaches believe there is potential to upset in the quarters and will take an older more experienced team. Also no way Ciernek gets left out. He is dominating in the best Junior-league in Sweden, as a underager.
I am looking forward to this tournament more and more. Looking at this team, we could finally have 4 lines that can contribute offensively. Faith has been really good in the ICEHL to start the season. Jedlicka has 4 pts in 3 games in Slovak league with excellent 2 way play and these are guys who I have in bottom 6 of lineup. Camp will be very competitive for those spots in bottom 6, lots of options. Baco, Repcik, Petrovsky, Ciernik, Molnar, Zlnka, Michalik. Even Sramaty has adapted well to the Qmjhl and might test for a roster spot. On defensive side I expect Kmec to work his way into top 4 pairing with Knazko or Stacha.
I’m not sure it will happen this year. Repcik has mostly been playing wing in the WHL, I think he will play on the wing permanently now and is in bottom 6. Still lots of time for improvement, I had him in my preseason roster. As for Petrovsky, it’s possible but I’d say 4th line more likely. He’s improved his 2 way ability tremendously and is 1C for Owen sound this year. Myklukha will be in the top 9 without a doubt. He’s played excellent the first 2 games for Armada and will continue with 1C duties there. I find it highly unlikely that sykora will be there. Faith also has a high chance to make it and he has experience at the WJC.Latkoczy (Elias)

Hope some other 04's will eventually crack the roster. I can imagine Petrovsky or Repcik taking the spot of 3rd center.
I had Krajc as a lock since the two games against czech u20 and thought he made big progress. Unfortunately, he is struggling to produce, so it's a bit of a question mark now. I hope he will pick it up. Ciernik making the team would be a shock for me, not that he is not good enough, but there already are a fair amount of U18 players with Slaf, Nemec, Mesar and Dvorsky who will be on the team.I have a hard time seeing Krajc making this team. Seeing him for Dukla this year, he’s been given great opportunity and hasn’t looked good enough.
I think Ciernik will be there, right now I could see him going 4th line LW. Faith continues to play great in ICEHL, almost tied point total from last year. This could be our deepest team in many years. Have we ever had a point per game CHL player as third line C? However, my expectations will remain tempered.
For defense, I believe it will be better than last year. Petrovicky will be improved and so will Becar. But once again the hope is that Fenes roles the top 4 heavily and only sporadically mixes in depth pairings. My only concern is defense right now, though it's better than usual. Knazko and Nemec are high quality but there's not as much depth as in offense. Heard that Stacha and Kmec have impressed thus far.
When it comes to Sykora, he was moved to C at the start of the season and has all tools typical for 4th line center, Petrovsky is agreeable alternative. I'm thrilled about our potential PP's.
Hockey Slovakia usually announces the preliminary invites in the first week of November, so here is how I think roster could look as of right now.
Slafkovsky - Dvorsky - Chromiak
Kaslik - Demek - Mesar
Ciernik - Myklukha - Faith
Kolenic - Petrovsky - Jedlicka
Knazko - Kmec
Stacha - Nemec
Petrovicky - Becar
Groch - Bakala

Ciernik remains a wild card if he will get chosen, perhaps Baco may fill that role instead.
Samuel Honzek, 16 years old, 6 goals in 12 games in Slovakia League. He is pushing for a spot.
Marcel Stefancik is another name.
Here is the schedule for WJC, very tough group. Still I have hope that we can get one upset and get 3rd spot.
Dec. 26: vs USA
Dec. 27: vs Sweden
Dec. 29: vs Russia
Dec. 30: vs Swiss
I would not say it.Upset? Slovakia has stronger team than Sweden.
Could mean a guy like Baco gets in as well over Krajc or KolenicAccording to Fenes after last tournament:
"Best players were Sykora (2004) and 2005 Dvorsky + Strbak. Many players from EU leagues disappointed strongly. The core will be build from North America Leagues."
