You think Don Cherry would approve of some good Russian lads having a bit of fun on a flight? I doubt it very much. Though I read something that suggested a coach was causing at least some of the issues and he should certainly know better.

1) A tweet from a random citizen calling out the Russians for botching the take off.
2) Czech media saying their team was stranded from the original flight because the Czechs had similar shirts than the Russians.
3) Finnish media coming out with interviews from team Finland's management that the blame is all on team Russia. Also explicitly stated that team Czech was acting according to rules.
4) Russian media coming out stating that their kids have nothing to with this and the Czech players were the culprits. Additionally, a member of the Finnish management apparently was black out drunk and vomited onboard.

Oh what a time to be alive in Russia...

Bold is not true, they do not claim the Russians have nothing to do with this. The Russian media wrote "Czech players tried to bring a beer to plane, some Czech & Russian players/coaches were drunk, some Russians & Czechs did not wear their masks correctly"

People are now very tight about thing New Year or not. I flew with teams and I understand that passengers may be at some discomfort with noise etc. Solution is simple - if you fly sports teams don't put them with other passengers on the same plane.

This isn't some "hur dur people are softz" they were being shitheads and breaking rules that have been in place for decades. Also it is one thing to do it, another to be an ass to the attendants that likely just want to do their job and get the plane in the air. It is the picture of entitlement.

It’s basic curtesy not to blast music openly, or otherwise be crazy loud on a long flight unless you’re a baby (and do everything else that will majorly inconvenience a shitload of people on the plane by delaying it, and giving flight attendants a hard time just for doing their job.) . Can the Russian team not afford headphones?


Or if I forgot my headphones I read a book, or use the planes media because I’m mature and courteous enough to “struggle” through a flight without unlimited resources


Whatever exactly they were doing was disruptive and generally a dick move and they deserved to be removed from the plane. Unfortunate for the other passengers it didn’t happen sooner, let them get another flight later.
