As expected without NHL players but still few headscratchers. Firsft of all i welcome omission of Skalicky (no iq plug) but on the other side, it make me sick to see Dano there. This boy had enough time to prove himself and is steadilly falling from cliff (Reway case). Happy to see Regenda got some recognition for his doing in Slovak extraliga and even Kelemen and Holesinsky. Now limit Marincin's icetime and it might be watchable

I´m kinda surprised nobody has mentioned omission of Rosandic – not even on the Slovak hockey websites. To not take Lantosi is huuuge fail. However, other changes like Dano/Liska are interchangeable for me. On the other hand, I´m glad that Takac and Regenda made the team. Both of them totally deserve it and they´re suitable for Ramsay´s system.

Well Lantosi wasn't in Linkoping's lineup lately so it's safe to say he's injured. Unless you guys know for sure he was going to recover in time for OG.
That could be reason why he is missing. also in local sites there were some speculations pointing his possible injury out. Lantosi is great skater, can easily get into chances but what I miss from him is effectiveness. If he could score more goals, he could be easily NHLer.
Lantosi and Liska are the main substitues in case anyone gets injured/covid, so he can't be injured.
I don't like this roster at all.

Zuzin is a 31 year old player with almost no international experience.

Well he IS either injured or got covid, unless you have a better explanation why he didn't play in the 2 most recent games for Linkoping. The real question is just how recovered can he be until the OG.

Lantoši confirms in an interview on Hokejportal.net that he's got covid and must stay quarantined until coming wendesday.

Yeah Dvorsky would be thrown around. He will likely make the next Olympics if NHLers are allowed.

I am not satisfied with Dano being on roster too. But I personally do not like Liska. He hasn't impressed me in national team so far, maybe one game against Canada in 2019 where he has scored 2 goals from rebounds...

Olympics without NHL players. Its even worse than World Championship. How many Slovak defenders in Europe are better than Nemec? He's imo better than both Daloga and Grman for example.

It's been a long time since I posted here on HFBoards.
I do agree with those who don't like seeing Daloga or Dano on the roster. Daloga has been pretty bad lately in the national team and he is a liability in our D-zone. Dano has never fulfilled his potential and I have lost all hope for him.
Likewise a bit of a surprise to take unproven guys like Zuzin or Takac who are not even promising youngsters for the future.
But then again, when have we ever been 100% satisfied with the roster? There will always be a few selections that look weird to the fans. Ramsay and Satan have done well so far, let's see what this team can do.

Not really, given that Slafkovsky actually has experience with the men's national team and has played both in the WC and OG qualifiers. Then there's the difference in physical parameters that has already been mentioned.
Dano is a bust not a top 6 player. He should be lucky that he actually made the roster.
Use Slafkovsky instead. He has the skill and size to play with like minded players. There is no point to hide him on the 4th line anymore. Hopefully there are no more these mistakes by Ramsay to bury him on the 4th line with some stiffs while it was obvious he could drive the line by himself.

Dano would be lucky to even be in the lineup and I think Marincin should be with Nemec. Also Pospisil should be in the top 6, I’d probably remove Kristof from there and put him. Slafkovsky should also be top 6, I’d consider putting him on the top line over Jurco who would go to second line to balance out top 6 a bit more.
Nemec has potential. But im sure, there are few guys in Czech league better right now (Rosandic, Mikus, with closed eye Koch). Then you have Trska in DEL.
I agree with Rosandic, he could help the team.
Mikus is old and slow, he doesn't suit to Ramsey's system.
Trska was terrible on national level, mainly defensively. I don't believe he could contribute something special to the team. All defensemen on the roster are better than him.
