Montgomery and Cassidy were named as the head coaches for the Atlantic and Pacific Divisions, respectively, during the All-Star showcase, which will be held in Sunrise, Florida, from Feb. 3-4.

Has it ever happened that a crowd was cheering a coach who everyone knows will be fired?

Chants of "Bruce, there it is!'' to the tune of Tag Team's "Whoomp! (There it is)'' echoed around Rogers Arena several times throughout the game in recognition of Canucks head coach Bruce Boudreau

I am beginning to think Rick Tocchet is thinking staying with TNT might be the smart move.

Bruce Boudreau will coach in the NHL again

Vancouver took over the lead in the "most despicable management move" department from Boston, for which Sweeney is probably giving thanks

When I was in high school I had twin friends and their Dad was an owner of a pretty big company so he had a suite for the Monarchs at the old Verizon because his company sponsored them, we used to go to games for free on the weekends. Fun times lol but yeah their Dad was good friends with Boudreau and he said he was a good guy.
He actually started in Moncton, NB when that market was a pro market and not a Junior market like it became after 1994..... Chicago's AHL Affiliate always wasn't Rockford, where it has resided for a while....

He’s not on those guys levels but he’s damn close

To me he's almost there. Has the insane skill and the production, but needs two things to put him in that 'elite of the elite' category: longevity, and some sort of team success. Not every great needs to win a Cup - a lot of things that go into it are outside their control - but they need to show they can propel a team to at least a conference trophy or two. McDavid still needs to do that, although last season's WCF appearance was a fair start.

The Quiet Corner
Rangers & Kitty Cats are tied at one, 5 minutes left in the first

For awhile the Rangers only had one shot on goal- the goal they scored.

Chris Kreider just got cross checked hard into the boards head first. Seems to be OK though.

Zibanejad puts the Rangers up 2-1 on the power play

I read their board 2 nights ago and tons posts saying how bad Islanders are this and that yet here they are outplaying Leafs 19 shots to 12 with lots great looks and Leafs all the powerplays

I'm unable to watch the game or get results anywhere. My internet is acting up. Any updates?

Jackets 3 powerplays Flames 0 (1 delay game fair) More game management cause saw at least 2 sure penalties not called vs Jackets.
