NHL tonight guys say the Isles are much closer and a better fit. Grimson said that another small guy up front isn't what we need to win playoff hockey so the Isles might look like they could compete. Don't kill the messenger.

Grimson hates the Devils going back to being on the losing side of the '95 Cup.

Even that wasn’t actually a lock considering he later said there was a 5PM deadline put on the Isles making a new offer. I think he needs to learn what a lock is
There is no deadline from the Islanders. We know Lou “if there is time, use it” doesn’t operate that way.

I mean $1.5-2 million more per year is a pretty significant number, maybe a little less so when you take out agent fees, taxes and escrow, but still a shit ton of money. Invest that $1.5 million extra per year over 7 years at about 10% interest and see what you'll have in 20 years. That's a hard offer to pass up if it's legit.

It's just so annoying every other damn team in this division has to be all-in, all the time. Why can't we have at least one Arizona or a Buffalo in our division? Hell we've BEEN that for too long.

I wouldn’t even go to 11, 10.5 and that’s it

If he doesn’t want it then go get Palat

Very cool and legit how just a few minutes before 5pm, which was rumored to be the deadline for a decision between NJ and NYI, every insider suddenly gets information about this crazy left field mega offer from the most irrelevant team in the conference making a supposed dark horse play.
Didn’t see a 12 million offer coming. Devils offer is better then the isles that much I know. Was right about 5pm

Yeah I want Johnny but Noway I go above 11. That’s the cut off point.

Best of luck to JG if he truly has 7 x 12M on the table in Columbus.

He'd be a fool to leave that money there.
