Thoroughly annoyed the Rangers landed Sykora. I would have drafted him over Casey. Seems they always take players I target for the Devils.

I'd be shocked to see Fitz move up. Doesn't seem like he ever has any interest doing so (or moving down either), he just picks who he wants from whoever is still left, regardless of the rankings.

Casey is very very smart, very good in his gaps and positioning, and very capable with the puck. He has a nice floor, but his ceiling is limited by a lack of average size or high-end athleticism. He was definitely a solid pick at #46.

This is why I had a temper tantrum meltdown about Casey. Casey is a solid player but we left first round talent on the board to pick him. (Waah waah okay I'm done)

A lot of people would argue that Casey should have went in the first round though. Kind of ranked similarly to Trikozov and Perevavlov.

There really was no one clearly better. Other guys I liked there was like Gleb, Sykora, Hughes but Casey is right in that group to me and any of them are fine

It all depends on if they have one guy they rate much higher than the rest of the pack. If they have like 15 guys they all rate about equally, just keep all the picks.

Yeah, Casey wouldn’t have been my pick but he’s good pick and good value.

God knows I’ve dragged Fitz for reaching/bad pick value in previous drafts and I don’t think either pick deserves it this year (and the 2nd not even close).
