@montreal

from your viewings of the Hamilton Bulldigs, does this guy Logan Morrison get drafted this year?

He's a big center who was draft eligible the same year as Mysak and this year has exploded points wise. Mysak has 59 points to Morrison's 93 in one more game played.

yes I think he will.

Perfect! So he can for sure step in as a #1 NHL RD right away on any team! Honestly it's great that we can be so sure about a prospect when he's still in his draft year. Doesn't happen often.

Seider played 1 AHL season, I expect Jiricek to follow the same path, there is no reason to rush him at all. Obviously, how he reacts to that bad injury is the big question, but Im not too worried personally, this kid is for real and should overcome that.

Now that we have discussed our high 1st round pick ad nauseum.

Who are some of the players you guys want with out later picks ?

Bichsel , McGroarty , Gaucher , Lamoureux , Kyrou , Pickering , Goyette ?

IMO, the first tier goes like this:

Jiricek
Wright
Slafkovsky
Cooley
....
In the run to make the top tier: Nazar (+), Savoie and Nemec.

The good news is, we will get one of theses guys no matter what happen till the end of the season.
Agree, depends who’s drafting where though….but your top 4 is my top 4.

If I’m Montreal GM, my list goes like this

1.Wright
2.Slaf
3.Jiricek
4.Cooley
5.Savoie
6.Nemec

Anyone of these players is a huge plus for us!!!

Deep down though I’m hoping for Slaf or Jiricek

Top 2 is a no brainer for me, thats either Jiricek or Slafkovsky. After that Im higher on Kemell than most, have him at 3. Then I think thats open and its a matter of who you prefer. You enter the Nemec, Yurov, Wright, Mintyukov, Gauthier, Nazar zone.

Goyette for the Flames pick I'm hoping

Roberston with our 2nd round pick

Zhilkin with the Oilers 2nd round pick

:thumbu:

I would add Kulich and possibly Korchinski as well. Korchinski is an elite skater/puckmover, outstanding in transition, but makes some weird stuff at times that makes me wonder about his IQ. I need to watch him more but has some great tools for sure.

Don't really love any of the guys you posted there other than Pickering is interesting.

Mesar, Lekkerimaki, Mesar, Lindgren, Ingram, Ostlund, Korchinski, Firkus few off the top of my head.

I would be incredibly happy if we come out of the draft with one of those two. Slaf is going to be impossible to contain physically in a few years.

Indeed, he is a tank. The package he brings is very special and his net front presence on the PP would also help Caufield to score even more.

One thing that gets overlooked is Gorton doesn't mind moving up if he really likes someone, way better than bozo trading a 3rd for two 7ths

Cooley really fits the type of hockey this management and coaching staff seems to want to employ. Fast, smart, skilled and competitive. He actually reminds me a bit of Koivu (minus the muffin shot), or a sort of high end Farabee. I love his competitiveness, damn.

He moved up for my guy, K'andré Miller.

Habs have ton of picks and prospects, so I fully expect us to move up if needed. I wouldnt be surprised if they moved up for Bichsel or Gaucher.

I saw one or two Rangers fans applaud that move, that and moving up for Schneider. Clearly, we have management that's likely going to make a move if they like a player.

Wright, Cooley, Slafkovsky, Savoie, Nemec or Jiricek they all fit with the new management mentality!

I'm hoping that this is the year we draft a couple of high end centers to help out Suzuki.

Obviously Wright would be the best choice, and I'm hoping that we get him. Another super talented, high end skill guy, 200 Foot game, right handed shot center is never a bad thing to have.

And I suspect that we will end up getting Faucher with our second pick in the first round as our de facto Third line center of the future. A huge kid that can play in all situations, is trending towards being a terrific shutdown center.

I'd love to see those three guys anchoring the middle of the ice for the near and hopefully distant future.

_____ - Suzuki - Caufield
_____ - Wright - Anderson
_____ - Faucher -
_____ - Evans - _______

Guhle - _____
Edmundson - Barron
Harris - Savard
