Not a bad ranking. Always something to disagree with in practically every ranking. I don't mind their top 10.
I think we see a lot of the same 5 names in the top 5 . After that you can maybe peg a couple in the top 10 but the field is pretty wide open down to 20.
Kasper and Geekie 19 and 20 here are seen in the top 10 or very close to it on a lot of lists. McGroarty and Snuggerud are 28/29 on this list seem a bit low.

I actually really like this ranking. A lot of similarities to my own list.

Seems too low on Kasper. If they have to draft at 7 he's looking more and more like the pick to make.

if he's still available somewhere in the 4th-6th round (projections seem to have him everywhere from late 2nd all the way to 7th) is Cole Knuble someone the team might have their eye on? A little on the small side but supposedly plays bigger than he is... he's committed to Notre Dame but not until 2023/24... has the NHL father checkmark we all love.

also I can't seem to find it, has a CHL team drafted him? Any world where we draft him and have him play CHL for the next 2 years?

I'm also interested in RD Noah Warren with one of our 2nds if we don't get one of the 2 RD at 7. Has there been discussion here I've missed?

A Gauthier - Stutzle - Boucher line in a few yrs would be interesting. Getting Noah Warren in the 2nd rd would turn into a decent draft.

Legacy of the 2021 draft will be the Sens decided to go with “identity players” that fit how they want their entire team to play - so they drafted big who can skate, all the way through the draft.

Ottawa under Mann had leadership above a lot but with such limited scouting and the OHL not playing 2021 was to draft players who fit a typical mold and it could end up being a draft that is good for their lower end depth (bottom pairing D and bottom 6 forwards that are good / Killorn, Hyman, C.Brown types)

Wonder what the mandate for 2022 will be. Need depth at RD, LW, RW and G.

Kaspar isn’t getting out of the top 10, would be extremely surprising. He’s more likely to go top 5 than fall like that.

It’s only rankings, not how they actually believe the draft will go I’d assume. Pretty common knowledge Kaspar is a top 10 guy in scouts eyes at this point.

Knuble’s CHL rights aren’t owned by any one team. I believe that means he is free to sign with any CHL team he/his NHL team desires.

Shane Pinto was never drafted into thr CHL and almost played for the 67’s because that’s where Ottawa wanted him at one point in time.

As for Warren, i’m pretty sure this entire board is in agreement that we wouldn’t mind taking him at some point in the draft. One of the rare things this board can agree on.

Mock for entertainment value

This would be a great result for the Sens, would love to see a Gauthier - Stutzle - Boucher line. Or if they prefer Gauthier at centre & Stutzle could go back to LW & they would still be great. Then the Sens could look to try & get into the late 1st rd to pick up Tristan Luneau RD &/or Noah Warren RD & they could also solidify their future defence. While I hope one of the teams ahead of us picks one of the smaller forwards available, I'm not sure Savoie gets picked that high, but who knows I hope he does.

Not to beat a dead horse on these boards but a Gauthier-Stutzle line is very appealing whereas Boucher should be nowhere near Stu.

He'll make room for the other two out there & they are short on RWs, unless you think that Sokolov could play with them. Personally I see Sokolov as a 3rd or 4th line RW player & Boucher as a 2nd or 3rd line player. We'll see.

Korchinski says he's 6'2.5 and is still growing.

Wonder if he's a guy who could sneak into the top 6. Same with Mintyukov.

I think they are closer to Nemec and Jiricek than a lot of people would think. Both have a ton of offensive upside, can skate well and have good size.

Descriptions of Mintyukov sound a bit like Chabot.
Can’t say I’ve really seen much of him.

My prediction of how the draft will go next week:

1. Wright
2. Nemec
3. Slafkovsky
4. Cooley
5. Gauthier
6. Jiricek
7. Lekkerimaki
8. Kemmel
9. Kasper
10. Nazar or Korchinski

I'll probably be way off but one bet I would make is Philly taking Gauthier 5th. I also don't see Jersey taking the smallish center in Cooley 2nd. Phoenix will also opt for the big winger, so Cooley falls to Seattle.

I think Theodore is a better comparison for him.

6'1.5 with great skating and a high-end offensive skillset, but can get lost defensively and makes some questionable decisions sometimes.

The potential is really high though. It's easy to look at his tools and skillset and see a future top 4 D.

Korchinski and Kasper are two guys I could absolutely see us picking at 7th. Could see them in the top 6 but not sure who would be bumped... guess it would have to be one of the DMen though.

I could also see Philly taking Gauthier at 5th & I think it could be one of Kasper or Lekkerimaki at 7th OA. Ott just needs one of those first six teams to take someone else & they could take one of those top six.

2. Slafkosky
3. Cooley
4. Nemec

I think Daylan Kuefler could get some consideration by the Sens with a late pick. He is a 3rd year draft eligible power forward who had 7 fights this season. His stats in the WHL this year were:
65 GP 38 G 21 A 59 pts
He then followed that up in the playoffs with the following stats:
17 GP 10 G 7 A 17 PTS
He has also had some high praise from Shane Doan

Gleb Veremyev might get some consideration by the Sens for a late pick. He is a big kid with a lot of physicality to his game and models his game off of Mathew and Brady Tkachuk, as well as Jordan Greenway.

Journey of a Star: Gleb Veremyev - News Nebraska
He took part in the Biosteel All American Game where he had some flashes and was a noticeable physical presence.

If the Sens are looking for a powerforward project in the later rounds then he might be an option.

Another option who seems less likely could be Winter Wallace. He is an athletic and powerful 3rd year eligible who can be an effective crash and bang type.
