Just out of curiosity you seem to have good grasp on the draft. Which of the remaining options would you like at our next pick.

I personally like Wagner and Grudinin

What picks from past drafts are you referring to?

2018 draft in particular if my memory is correct. A bunch of the middle round picks from 2020 and 2019 as well. It seems like we prefer hockey sense over speed and with our lack of production from our draft classes I'm starting to sour on the idea.

You expect a developed player in the 2nd round? Look at many centers, they have bad faceoff%, get much better. Especially our coaching staff who brought us to the best faceoff team in the league I am sure they can help him there.

Maybe trust one of the most well funded scouting departments on who fills a need for us.

45% doesn't get fixed easily. That is well below average for his peers. It is more likely he has to move to the wing, especially since his skating also needs a fair bit of work.

I don't expect a developed player. I also don't expect a guy who has bottom 6 upside to be taken with a top 50 pick when he is borderline top 75 material. If you are taking a lower upside guy, take one who doesn't also have major flaws... especially when there are about a dozen better options out there.

I had him on my board at one point. He looked really good in a brief SHL stint but he also is a D+3.

Definitely not great value though.

I personally think the value is there.

Goalies are voodoo, so if we can get any goalie into NHL games, I think that's a success. I think Hildeby will get into NHL games, personally
