What a stupid time to award a trophy

It’s usually around pick 7-9, the interviews are a little shorter, the preamble before picks gets shorter and things start to flow.

Let’s break it up with an award we should have presented a few weeks ago!

But is this the usual protocol, or is it just another chance to drag out yet another Habs alumni in Montreal? I envy the Habs, they’ve got probably the second best alumni group in sports (Yankees), but the big three have all passed.

There actually is something that can't be replicated. 18 year old drinking age and very lax enforcement. Great night and easy for the kids to have a night on the town.

Not really. Liljegren did drop, but most still expected him to be top 15 or whereabouts.

Some thought Lambert could be top 15 just because he is super talented, but nobody was surprised if he dropped out of it for a long time now (pretty much since the middle of the year).

Lambert at 25 was a very realistic possibility, and I am more than fine if we trade down a little bit right now.
