Only Montreal could look at a draft with two guys clearly above the rest and say "Nah, we're going to take a 3rd option!". You'd think they'd have learned something from reaching for Kota...
awesome, many thx budMost people agree with me that Mateychuk is *the* guy if he makes it.
Lots of love for Rutger McGroarty & Liam Ohgren too.
@mods can we sticky this every time AZ picks? It's AZ. Think about what the opposite of what you'd do and then spin around in 3 circles and throw a dart.
Arizona is a mess, but I'd trust Bill Armstrong to figure things out over the clown show they had previously when it comes to player development. He is not a bad player, but he is someone who needs a good development staff.
They already failed to develop Strome, who is a better version of Geekie.
He strikes me as a boom or bust type.Only Montreal could look at a draft with two guys clearly above the rest and say "Nah, we're going to take a 3rd option!". You'd think they'd have learned something from reaching for Kota...
He actually didn't. This drafts strength is depth. The top of this draft isn't particularly special. So, getting picks where you probably still get an A prospect on your board, and two high B's is likely a smart move.
I'm thinking Kemell and Lekkerimaki go before him. Whoever is at 14 has the easiest pick in the world imo.Geekie? What on earth. Have to think Nazar goes to CLB
