Just listened to the Wright presser in full and Hickey asked the question I wanted to hear Wright answer. Hickey asked Shane if Habs select him and choose to send him back to Junior, how he would handle it. Wright said that if that's what they chose to do he would accept that.

He said he can't tell them he wants to stay in the NHL. He can't do that. If they think it's best for his development, he would accept it. He said he'd be a member of the organization and if that's what they want, that's what he'll do.

Hard to have worst skating than McCarron. Totally different player. Geekie has very good offensive skills and he is not a fighter.
Hard, but from what I've read Geekie may succeed, and he may have bad enough flexibility and mechanics that it's not fixable in spite of how effective he is in all other facets of the game. He absolutely would have been a DND for the habs before this year, no hope that the previous regimes would have done anything to help him.

Good, because we should pick him, but he's gonna have to prove he was the Wright one by absolutely obliterating the OHL.

I mean… that’s a typical answer from 99% of nhl’ers

F*ck me dead if we draft Slafkaniemi. I will vomit like the f*cking exorcist.
I'll be worried but I won't freak out for 3 years...

In 3 years we'll know if Hughes and Gorton are good or should be gone. They did a great job of accumulating picks, we'll see if part of Gorton's rebuild process is picking some guys high who don't do so well (at least until Lafreniere and Kakko break out).

His skating is fine. Skating is closer to Kotkaniemi without the balance problems.

Theyre nothing alike. Hughes is a special player while Cooley is more of a do-it-all swiss knife player that doesnt really excel.

Trochek is a better comparison for Cooley.
Reports vary about his skating, but even the best ones see him as slow in the NHL. Kotkaniemi had some issues but he wasn't really slow. Geekie is certainly better than Kotkaniemi once he is in position. He made sense as a pick in the 20s, I'm not sure he provides value in the top 5 or even top 10. Size is hugely important but it is still overvalued. If he fixes his skating he'll be a steal, but it looks unlikely.

“The belief is the Devils have spoken to Montreal about winger Josh Anderson and the sense is Hughes has been quite willing to listen. He has five years left on a deal with an average annual value of $5.5 million per season and Anderson has struggled to find consistency.

There was also talk making the rounds that Anderson was offered to the Senators for their No. 7 selection so there’s no shortage of chatter as the draft draws closer.

Anderson, 28, had 19 goals and 32 points in 69 games with the Habs last season. He has a standard “no move” clause that allows him to submit a list of eight teams where he’ll refuse to go so that will be a factor in any discussions surrounding Anderson.

We’ll know soon enough what’s going to happen.”

Slaf is light years ahead physically that JK

And kk was light years ahead of slaf in terms of draft year league play. He had 10 points ffs. 10. Points. That's a big yikes from me dawg. That resume is the slightest I've ever seen for a guy apparently in the running for 1st overall. That's like the mcdonalds manager who won employee of the year being in the running for CEO.

Let's draft a kid 1st overall because hes big and scored against countries who dressed their roller hockey team in the olympics. Woohoo yippeee.

Hyperbole yes, but looking at that league play... 1st overall? Really? f*** me if that's who we end up with.
