I honestly think this is all smoke by Kent Hughes. He’s put on a masterclass in media relations.

Everything points to Shane. Yes Gagnon seems to be saying it’s Juraj but one of the reasons he said so was that he was meeting with the habs tomorrow. He didn’t seem to know that this meeting was actually supposed to take place yesterday but because of a delayed flight, it was moved to today. So his main reason for believing it’s Juraj isn’t even accurate….

I think this is all smoke from Kent. It’s going to be Wright. He had the most calls with management and Shane is extremely well spoken, if anything it reinforced the decision. I don’t see how a conversation or a meeting with Shane would make them turn away from him just based on how mature and well spoken he is. He gives off a good impression.

They know the importance of Centres. It’s going to be Wright I’m sure of it. I really do think this is all smoke by Kent and bravo to him, he’s done an excellent job throughout the draft process.

- air tight on decisions
- open communication with fans
- smoke screens every where to confuse other teams
- all while having to deal with his son being drafted as well

Bravo Kent Bravo Kent!

DONT GET LOST IN KENT’S SMOKE!!!
he's quite the deceptive eggplant

The only thing is that while there's a lot of things we don't have, we do not have a Slafkovsky in our pool either. Unless we want to really believe hard that Luck Tuch will be. But a big scoring winger....we don't have.

Just like we don't have a top 6 C...or a puck moving D with PP attributes or....

Although we don't have it in the pool prospect, we do have it on the team right now with Anderson.
We also have scoring potential on the wing, just not big winger....and I have more faith in Heineman than Tuch.

Big center to help our many ''not big '' wingers would be better than a big winger to play with our non-existing center line past Suzuki.

Sportsnet and TVA Sports in Canada both on Thursday's Round 1 and Fiday's Rounds 2-7.

In the States, ESPN will have Round 1 tomorrow and NHL Network will have Round 2-7 on Friday.

Tomorrow when the GDT is created, they will surely have the time and channels the drafts will be on.
Thanks! Thought I’d need to add Sportsnet Now to see Day 2…whew.

I’m in Ontario…

In all the pictures of today I've seen with the potential top choices, Cooley looks like a guy who doesn't want to be there. Everyone else has big smiles, but not him.

Agreed, the more I see him in those events the less I’m convinced he can handle 1st OA in MTL.

The great thing about this is really, there still is no definitive answer if the right decision was made tomorrow

These guya have sooooo much work to do to prove they were worthy of high picks.

There wont be any i told you so's for yrs

tonight there will be a hunger games. tonight all three will have to prove their worthiness. From dwarf tossing, to the cigarette flip, from a poutine eating contest - to the vodka orange julep drinking tournament and the dreaded valley of the paddled ass; they will all have a chance to prove who is most worthy

There no way Shane is 6'1 as most site say, to me he looks more like 5'11

Wright really lights up when he talks about Montreal and Habs. When Amanda Stein asked him about New Jersey and his visit there, he said it was great and he enjoyed himself, but to me it came off as if he was just saying the standard answer. But when he goes back to Montreal again, he lights up again.

He will surely be happy to be drafted by anyone. But he really wants to be a Hab.

I think he knows something that we don't. And he's definitely mature enough to keep it internalized

I've been saying it since before the lottery, Wright gives me the vibes of being an Habs fan.
