Agree about McKenzie, which kind of unnerves me because his scouts have us picking Slaf.

I know the process behind that was kinda flawed but I'd feel a lot better about them choosing Wright if he would have confirmed it.

MTL really likes Cooley, they also really like Slaf, and they really like Wright.

Management has executed this confusion perfectly…to Renaud Lavoie and McCagg saying it’s Slaf, to Bouillon saying he loves Cooley, to Lecavalier talking a lot to Wright but hasn’t contacted the other two, to taking out Cooley and Wright to dinner but not Slaf….it has the entire hockey world in disarray with tons of speculation…..

They are masters of illusion and if Jersey really wants Slaf, they have planted that seed of doubt in their heads and we could possibly swap picks and get an asset and the C we always wanted all along.

Wouldn’t even surprise me if Montreal dropped a little cash to the scouts McKenzie interviews to vote in Slaf as #1 just to McTwist fry our reasoning even more

no need to waste the 1st overall on slaf, jani nyman is a big winger who you can draft late in the first or with the 2nd rounder, he moves effortlessly , is gifted with the puck, dangerous 1 timer, but could use size better according to draft simulator.

I know the word on the street hints at picking Lekkerimaki considering the Habs took him to dinner at the combine and seems to be high on him.......but if Jiricek is still available at 7 and we end up getting that pick, it would be pretty hard to pass the opportunity to draft a 1C and 1D top 10 in the same Draft.

Jiricek Barron Mailloux on the right side sounds very solid.....

No idea what it would involve but would be great entertainment!
