Want one of Kasper, Korchinski, Mintyukov and Lekkerimaki, in that order. Don’t want anyone else, outside of the top 6 guys.

The discussion of Kasper from a lot of other posters reminds me of Josh Norris. I think Corey Pronman's reflections on 'prospects I was wrong about' is interesting to think about here.

I think it is safe to say at this point, that no matter what happens tonight, there is going to be a TON of pissed off Senators fans.

1. Wright C - Montreal needs a big centre behind Suzuki.
2. Slafkovsky LW - NJ needs to get bigger
3. Cooley C - Arz adds a very marketable American player
4. Nemec RD - Seattle adds a good RD (could also select Korchinski LD Seattle WHL)
5. Gauthier C/LW - Philly adds that big centre they covet
6. Kasper C/LW - Columbus adds a nice complimentary piece next to Sillinger or Nemec if he falls
7. Jiricek RD - Ott gets the top pairing RD they covet
8. Korchinski LD - if available to compliment Seider RD or Mintyukov LD
9. Geekie C - Buff gets a big centre to compliment their wingers
10. Lekkerimaki RW - will fit in nicely in Ann with McTavish as his centre.

Im going to assume we're taking Geekie until they prove me wrong.

And if guys like Jiricek/Nemec/Cutter are off the board it wouldn't be a horrible pick.
Going off what we have heard I'd personally be a little shocked we didnt take Kasper, but him and Geekie are in that 7-15 range of guys.

Geekie just sounds like a guy the Sens would have huge interest in. Im vanilla about him personally. Wouldnt celebrate nor would I call for our scouts to be fired.

Oh I am right there with you on Geekie. I am not wild about him but have concerns. But it definitely wouldn't be Boucher level off the board.

Fully agree. How many of these big centers, mainly drafted due to their size, ever actually work out? I can't think of any off the top of my head.

Logan Brown had incredible skill and vision. He just had an attitude problem.

wow he's that small and was able to truck guys much bigger than him? might be a Karlsson type where he is wiry and stronger than players much bigger than him.

Both Kemmel and Lekk share a lot of traits with Pasternak imo. high end skill, deception, lethal shot, mentality. certainly more so than guys like Gauthier, Savoie, Kaspar.
Kemmel said Pasta is his role model. I can see it.
