Kasper really intrigues me. I'm wary of Kemmell can't quantify it just don't like himIf the top 6 goes exactly according to Bob's list, who do you guys pick at 7 between Kemell, Lekkerimaki, Savoie, Kasper and Korchinski?

Kemell's my pick.
Watching his highlights he reminds me of Timmy.

Kasper might not make it to us. Multiple teams have him in their top 5. Pronman said there are some in the community who believe he could go #2. When asked if there is one player who could sneak into the 'top 6' of this draft who is different from the consensus, he said Marco Kasper.Kasper really intrigues me. Yeah there was absolutely no chance. I really hope the pick is used on Nemec or Jiricek or a high skilled forward. Don't want anything to do with Kasper. Very little offensive upside. Don't love Gauthier either. Want Savoie, Lekkerimaki, Kemel, Nasar or Ostlund.Seider was expected to be gone before we were up, yes Detroit grabbed him earlier than expected, but he was never going to make it to 19
Couldn't dissagree more about his top 6 upside. Lekkerimaki scored the same amount of goals in 20 less games averaging 4 minutes less icetime a game.I sincerely hope he and Gauthier are both picked before Ottawa steps up as that means someone is falling. Kasper skates fast but doesn't have any elite offensive attributes. Reminds me of Darren HelmKasper might not make it to us. Multiple teams have him in their top 5. It sounds like he's the riser like Seider etc... Not hard to see why. Looks like a guaranteed top six forward.
Given this info - I'm on team keep the pick.
If Nemec or Jiricek are available I'm thrilled with taking them. I guess I like Gauthier and Kasper more than you, but wouldn't be at all disapointed with a high skill guy.Yeah there was absolutely no chance. He's 5'9.5 and <150 lbs at the combine. Before his shoulder injury what he was doing was incredible.
I think i take him too. Leading your men's league in scoring for a couple of months as a 17 year old is insane.
Who is the potential Pasternak?yea idk about Kaspar either. he seems like a high floor but mid upside player. perhaps a connor brown type or an ondrej palat if the playmaking is real.
but does the needle really move for us if we get another connor brown? or even a palat?
Kaspar or Lekk you can see they have the upside and daring to be much more. I'd much rather a play on a potential Pasternak for us vs a Palat/Brown.
wow he's that small and was able to truck guys much bigger than him? might be a Karlsson type where he is wiry and stronger than players much bigger than him. He's 5'9.5 and <150 lbs at the combine.

Both Kemmel and Lekk share a lot of traits with Pasternak imo. high end skill, deception, lethal shot, mentality. certainly more so than guys like Gauthier, Savoie, Kaspar.

Maybe this is why (re. the combine):
"It should be noted that Joakim Kemell also performed exceptionally well in a lot of the physical testing. He is one of the draft’s most skilled players and certainly has speed to burn as well. His name was on the leaderboard a lot, including at the very top for squat jump and no-arm jump, substantially bettering the competition."
I hope they keep the pick & end up with either Jiricek or Gauthier who is suppose to be the best goal scorer from this draft class according to Button & others. I'd also be fine with Lekkerimaki, Geekie, Korchinski, Kasper or Snuggerud.
Goal scoring, I think Lekkerimaki has Alfredsson potential & has a shoot first mentality. I'd play him with Tkachuk & move Batherson to play with Stutzle. They are both close & both could turn into good players.I'm curious what turns you off from kemmell? It is hard for me to separate him for Lekkerimaki since they are so similair in player types and even skill level.
so where do you see the difference?
He weighed in at 185 lbs (per this).
Also, for what it's worth, people were surprised by his height at the combine and I guess there's some doubt about whether the number was accurate.
Huh. Kemmel was a guy I was really interested in until the 5.9 combine result, I figured we'd never draft a kid that small so moved on. If he's indeed 5.11 I hope we still consider him at 7.
I remember this happening once before though. I don’t remember the player but he was like a 6’2 kid and the combine said he was 5’11 but he was in fact 6’2It's hard to dispute the combine measurement - the whole point of the exercise is to get a definitive number. That said, it sounded like people were surprised not only because he's always been listed at 5-11 but because he looks taller than 5-9.5.

You think Buffalo takes their 5th LHD in the first 32 picks in 5 years with two of them being first overall? And that being an offensive LHD who will never get pp time?Prediction
