Two of my fraternity brothers are in one of the crowd scenes after the Mets won in 1986. It was funny showing that to my kids in the freeze frame during the recent ESPN documentary. I recall watching the game the night of the Monday night football game of the Giants against the then Redskins where the Mets scored and the Giants crowd roared as one drawing a false start from the Redskins. We had two TVs set up in the room and it was fun to watch both.
Nearest I can come to this was when the Jets clinched in... I don't recall the year. Late 90's or early 00's.

They were playing the Packers and all heads in the lower levels were turned towards the box seats as we needed the Dolphins to beat I believe the pats and they had TV's.

The roar of the crowd threw the players off for a second because it was either during a timeout or way after a stoppage in play, until they realized what had happened.

I’m a Yankees fan but I kinda like the Mets, and I like their fans. I respect their attitude about how much suffering they get as fans: they just roll with it.
We don't have a choice.

I was randomly stopped on the street today by a guy whose son apparently went to the camp John Franco ran in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. Just because I was wearing an old ass hat.

I think I've said it previously itt, but we're just born into it. There is no other option. No one converts or starts to follow later in life unless their partner demands it.

Watching the A's broadcast and they just said "18,500 here tonight, which is really nice for a Friday night crowd" unironically and almost with a sense of pride.

There is a 0% chance that many people are there.

If they don't get a new stadium and billionaire ownership Im not sure how they don't end up in Vegas as well.

Sad state of affairs, but that's what pro sports is now.

Going to the game tonight (had tickets for several weeks now).

I got to see Judge tie and break McGuire’s rookie record in person (before it was broken by Alonso). I saw A-Rod’s 600th and 661st. Hell, I’m a Yanks fan and I even got to see David Wright’s first ever walk off homer and Gary Sheffield’s 500th going to Mets games with my aunt.

I can’t believe I have this *chance* again.

seems like one of the negatives about being a Devils fan is that other fans also like the Yankee's🤢🤮

I just can't with the Mets anymore. Every single year they have a great season they f*** it up. It's absolute agony being a fan of this team.

With deGrom and Scherzer likely starting this weekend that will tell us all we need to know.

No more of this 70-80 pitch count shit. They're ready or they're not. An extra round of playoffs certainly isn't going to help.
