As a Yankees fan, I legit did believe in the Mets this season that they wouldn't do the patented late season collapse.

Guess I was wrong

I think most Mets fans assume the team will disappoint them, and continue to assume so until proven otherwise. They know they signed up for pain. At least the ones I know do.

My kids had no choice but to root for the Devils and Giants. I grew up a die-hard Mets fan in the 80's, but I knew better not to force that on them.

It's tough. I have certain teams my kids are not allowed to root for ( a relatively short list with Rangers, Red Sox, Cowboys, and all Philly teams on it) but beyond that they can pick for themselves.

My kids will be well aware that they will be bussing tables to pay for CUNY (no slight, it's an outstanding system) themselves if they don't dawn the red and the black.

Got accepted to Stevens, NYU, and Rutgers!?

Congrats kid, here's a link to some Craigslist ads for two bedrooms you can share with 4 people near City College.

Hope that French guy who never won anything was worth it.

I will however send all the Ramen money can buy and a Dell laptop off of Facebook marketplace though. I'm not a complete savage.

However, any Philadelphia team whatsoever and I hope they enjoy foster care.

Not having my kids be Devils fans would've absolutely been a kick in the nuts. Fortunately, they're both Devils fans. Got a little dicey with my now 14 year old back in 2014 when the Rangers were in the SCF and many of his friends were rooting them on, but that passed quickly. Also helps that they've gone to a decent amount of Devils games as a kid. I can't wait for this team to finally be competitive as pain is all my kids have known from this team as far back as they can remember. I got to witness 3 Cups, so I'm good - will be great for them to finally enjoy following this team.

Despite being a die hard Mets fan as a kid, by the time my kids were born I had lost a ton of interest in MLB. I've only really gotten back into it this season. My 14 year old is a Braves fan (he was following them well before they won last year, as we have family in the area - he was more of a Yankee fan before that anyway) - when the Mets inevitably complete the collapse in the playoffs, I'll be rooting for Atlanta.

There is probably something to the hometown feel of things. My kids are very big NFL and NBA fans which coincides with teams they can watch semi-locally. MLB and NHL are a very long car ride and wouldn't make sense for a day trip. They've probably gone to just as many MLB games as NBA or NFL games over the years but it just hasn't stuck.

I'm wracking by brain trying to figure out where a place in this country like that exists and all I can come up with is north central Florida, western NC, and nowhere Louisiana. Lol

The Mets just lose to too many bad teams and they gave them no margin for error when they went head to head with the Braves.

They lost too many games to the shit bag Marlins, including some at home.

The Braves have been beating those shit teams (at least later in the year, I didn't pay much attention to their results earlier) as of late.

Like, I'm sure the Mets will lose at least one to the Nats this last series (the Braves just swept them before they swept the Mets) and I'm sure the Braves will win at least two of their games against the shit bag Marlins this last series.

Highest payroll in baseball…

101 wins…

Second place.

I want to hear more about how the Yankees bought all their success though.

They tried to last 20 years but underachieved massively winning only 1 title and burned huge amount of money. Mets season isn't even over yet.

Toughest division in baseball...

101 wins...

Second place to the defending champs by a tie breaker.

I want to hear more about all of those championships that money bought for all of the kids born since 2001 as well as how good Judge is going to look in blue and orange.

Ugh, I have a half-strip of playoff tickets to the Mets games this year but need to sell my Wild Card round tickets for tomorrow night. Of course, now MLB does all their tickets digitally, so when I went to enter their barcodes in to StubHub I saw, much to my chagrin, that the barcodes on MLB Ballpark app don't show up until 24 hours before game time.

So I read up on it and saw that tickets that go to your MLB Ballpark app should sync up to your Stubhub and/or Ticketmaster accounts if you use the same email address for them, and they'll have the barcode on them. Great! I have both of those, all with the same email account.

...Except they won't sync up, and there's no option to make them do so.

I hate everything about this.

I'll take them depending on the cost.

You should be able to transfer directly.
