This is my best guess, but I can't really account for chemistry.
Goalies:
Willerscheid and Pertuch are the 2 I would take every time. Between Döge and Stocker I have no idea especially since I have not really seen Döge play, so I would probably pick Stocker, but I don't think it would matter much.

I can't see any of Sumpf, Brandl, Schreiner, Vinzens, Samanski, Ruckdäschel, Kinzel, Bicker or Fischer getting cut, unless they are injured or otherwise unavailable. Ultimately I would probably, cut Bauhof and either Renner or Khaydarov. In the end I choose to keep Renner for this exercise.

I think Strbak will end up joining, I’m less sold on Dvorsky just because his role with U20 team will be more prominent. And I’m not sure, Ridzon should absolutely be there as well as Dej.
Dej would be on my list too. There are some players from 06 birthyear on the roster like Kiss, Pobežal or Beluško. I just thought Tomašec would get a chance after being an impact player in the previous games. But there will be some changes to the roster later on that's quite sure.

I think it might be the latter. I haven't heard anything about an injury.
Unfortunately the rosters on the DEB website are kind of screwed up at the moment (except for the Hlinka team), but I believe that Tropmann was the lone '05 in camp with the '04 players in June. I don't know if there could be a chance that he joins the team later.
Also, it looks like they have replaced Luca Kinzel with Robin Rieke.

Fantastic overview in this post, as usual.
I'll add my 0.02 cents.
I would say that Döge is the guy they'll be taking along instead of Stocker.
That looks totally correct. Kölsch interests me. Would like to see him in international competition.
Indeed, the absolute key forwards would appear to be Sumpf, Brandl, Vinzens, Ruckdäschel, and Bicker. Those are the ones I'd recommend North American viewers key in on if they're checking out a game featuring Germany, with Sumpf and Vinzens being the top guys.
I thought Dück might give a 2006er or two a look.
Surely the others you mention are probably part of this team.
I'd personally be interested in Jakovlev, Samanski, Tschwanow, and Khaidorov at this tournament, the latter in order to see if he has any of the skills of his old man.
I'd say these kids bring a skill element not necessarily seen much of in last year's squad.If you're hoping for a Julian Lutz, I don't think there is one this year. However, he didn't actually get things done in any of the big international tournaments like his talent level would suggest. Maybe one or two of these kids will better be able to shine when playing against "the big boys"?
Final roster should be out soon enough... Not at the DEB site yet.
What I like about the '05 group is that there are good players at all positions. On the downside there may not be a clear star player. Although I remain high on Tropmann (who may not be at this tournament) and Mayer.
I know we are all looking for the next high draft pick, but I think even without those we are still moving in a good direction overall, compared to 5 or 10 years ago.
I just hope junior hockey does not get interrupted again, because without these international tournaments it is even more difficult to see if the top players just stand out compared to their domestic competition, or if they can actually play with the big boys.
I remember the junior tournaments with Draisaitl, Kahun and Tiffels. It did not matter who was on the other side, when they stepped on the ice it they were at least on a level playing field if not straight up dominating.
Overall they would of course still lose most of the times, but you could see that these players were on another level.
It was almost the same with Stützle, Reichel and Peterka. They were never outmatched, not even against Canada.
Seider was a little unlucky that he did not get a chance to play at the top level as often as he should, but he pretty much tilted the ice in his teams' favor at every level.
Watching those guys was fun but it's not just about those potential NHL stars, and some of them did not get that far (yet). But we need produce more good DEL players as well. Not just some kids who will get a little bit of ice time as long as they fall under the U23 rule and then get sent to the DEL2 or Oberliga and replaced by an older, cheaper and slightly better import, as soon as they get too old for that. We need more of the kids to stick in the DEL, like Wohlgemuth, Eder or Ehl.
