Byfield does appear to be using a longer stick.

To compare, here's a pic of Byfield from last year's camp, where his stick appears quite a bit shorter.

Looks like perspective. Hopefully someone can ask him about it at some point. Don’t want him to get head shotted in the NHL because of a stupid preference.

Hope he’s recovered, more info will be known this upcoming week as Slovakia’s U20 camp starts. Hope he’s there. We will need him more than ever without Slafkovsky, Mesar and Nemec.

According to Slovak reporter talking with Martin, Chromiak was in the hospital because of how sick he was and lost more than 10 KG’s. He hasn’t trained for over a month and is just now going to start training again tomorrow. He likely will not be at the WJC

What the f*** is up with our prospects and injuries and illness? I swear our forwards are cursed!

Still Sherwood though, poor bastard :naughty:
What stick maker you prefer? I liked Easton s16 / s19.. used to find pro-stock on e-bay for cheap - from players nobody heard of. Pro stock sticks were so much better than the regular ones and had some really weird curves. Never did I see any sherwood back when I was playing a lot - def off brand. Wonder if he gets paid to use them.

I'm mostly joking, Sherwood makes a good composite these days. I didn't personally like it--felt a little 'dead' or bricky compared to most of the others I've used. I def miss the Eastons, have been meaning to try a jetspeed but too pricey, last one i bought was a bauer vapor flylite and it's been pretty close to my old s19, but they need to bring back the sakics, i know they have a similar curve pattern but can't find a 5.5 lie!

Edit: I'm pretty sure it's a branding deal in Byfield's case

22 lbs that' not normal

Martin Chromiak's participation in the junior championship is significantly threatened. At the end of June, he was in the hospital and lost more than ten kilograms. He won't even be in the camp before the WC.

"I would very much like to go, but I don't know how I'll be. I haven't trained for a month. I'm starting again from Monday," he said.

It's like the Kings are drafting clone look alikes of current and former players. Even their physiques are the same. Connors looks bigger than the 6'1" 190.
Alex Laferriere - Lias Andersson
Kenny Connors - Aki Berg
Jack Hughes - Trevor Moore

If I ever find out who has the voodoo doll of all the Kings prospects so help me

My guess is they’re just trying to fill bodies that can give them a full lineup for lines and pairings in scrimmages. Of the invites, Sillinger and Stefan seem the most intriguing.

Luke Pavicich has a small sample size, but he’s 6’3” and his mom and siblings played collegiate sports at San Jose State. He’s also been passed on two drafts now.
Think he had a look at the USA U20 camp in December and thought with the absence of Comesso he might have gotten an invite this summer.

Any impressions on his time with the Kings?
